Is the lume on a Sub same as GMT2?

I bought a brand new Hulk in March and I'm blown away by the power of the lume. It's incredible. It's almost looking for an excuse to lume...LOL, and it lasts well through the night with no recharge. One of my favorite things about the watch!

I've recently looked into GMT-IIs and I've read reviews the lume is nothing to write home about. OK but not great. Marc Goldberg, in his "5 things I hate about the GMTII," lume is one of them, calling it "weak."

You'd think the marker size and luminescent technology being the same on both watches, there shouldn't be a difference?.. (Is it because Marc's watch is older, maybe?..)

Does anyone have both watches and made a comparaison? Thanks!

The lume on both of them are the same, however a couple things to note. Some people may say the lume is horrible while others will think it's perfectly fine. Also I'm sure the luminescent material on the hour markers etc vary from watch to watch. So you could have another LV right next to yours and it might not look the same (lume strength)

The consensus on these forums seem to be that the lume on all Rolexes is nothing to write home about /shrug

Luminover or chromolight is the same on all Rolex watches, its the total surface area of the lume surface, that effects the glow and the persons eyes.
