Same here. I recently tried this one in a local AD, the one on the leather band. While the leather band didn't bother me, the thickness of the watch didn't suit the look. It seemed to protrude far too much for my taste, and wouldn't easily slide under a dress cuff even without the steel/gold bracelet. If it was a thinner watch, I'd almost certainly have picked it up in the bracelet version (simply for resale value). In my view the steel/gold Black Bay has many pluses to it, not the least of which is the included date function and the new movement.

But I do agree that the leather band added subtlety. Without the bracelet, the gold coloring on the head is more of a highlight, and adds interest rather than being an "in your face" two tone watch. For me that made it wearable, since two tone watches tend to be too much for me in most cases.

Love the style of Tudor, but I prefer monochrome schemes. I never thought much of this brand but lately I've grown to love them. Base model BBs are my favorite but I also like the Pelagos. I particularly like the engraved Tudor Rose on the crown. Very nice touch - elegant.

I really like this watch. It's defo on my radar as a future purchase and will likely be my first Tudor purchase to boot when it happens.
The brushed Gold is fabulous. Prefer brushed anything on tool watches, and the gold capping is generously thick I feel.
Two tone is becoming ever more popular as of late, and this BB nails it down perfectly. I wish Rolex would brush the gold on their TT subs and GMT's etc. Looks way better brushed.
