This seems to follow a pattern...
Hi guys,
On the inside of your Rolex clasp, there is a small number just above the part number of the bracelet. You will notice how this number seems to follow a definite pattern. First, my TT YM which is a D-series...CL11 ...then the Exp-II an F-series...CL10 Zemina's TT YM which is a late Y-series...AD5 So it seems, CL11 is the latest. Check your own bracelets and let us have your views. Thanks - JJ

My Explorer II (U Series) has "Z9" on the clasp. Whatever this all means, you've got me.

I would presume from the pattern of my 2 new watches, that the latest is CL and it seems to follow a pattern as in CL10 and CL11 for an F and a D-series respectively.

My Y series GMT-II has AD5 on the bracelet. Where's the pattern?

Also, you notice that all the newest series have CL and a number. Apparently, since my TT YM is a D-series, it has CL11, but the slightly earlier late F-series of my new Exp-II has CL10. The pattern may not be all that consistent, but obviously the older ones like Y-series have AD while the newer ones have CL.

The pattern continues...
Hi guys,
Managed to dig out some previous images of my now gone watches....here's an interesting note to the on going pattern of those 'mystery' numbers on the inner clasp... My Late Y-series TT Blue Sub...AD6 and then my white Exp-II, mid F-series, CL8... and then my early F-series SD....AD8

Okay, so I'm not sure why I took my watch off to look at this (JJ, your insanity is catching) but my T series YM has V12 on the clasp. Not sure what significance that has, but I suspect not much.
