16700 or indeed any of the Pepsis really look good on Jubilee!

My dad has a 16700 A-Serial that was purchased in 1999 - it is still in mint condition. I'm trying to tell him to let me 'borrow' it (aka add it to my collection)

Still has all the original paper work with receipt and unnamed warranty paper (just dated).

My recent acquisition N series 1991 16700 with all black bezel!

So tempted to get a Pepsi insert but RSC told me all black iis much rarer and the pepsi is too common.

Is the watch looking good?

I don't think you attached a picture of your new purchase. Get one of each insert, they are easy to change yourself.

I have an "N" series as well. Black is what the "N" stands for as I recall. I also have the Pepsi and Coke inserts to change it up once and a while.

The poster above is referencing the year of production, with Nxxxxxx as 1991. The N in the full reference on the warranty paperwork such as R16700N30B6251 does stand for a black bezel insert.

Yes. Mine is N series. Just bought it over from someone. A pity the hands and dials do not have matching patina which is a common issues in the 1990s. My watchmaker has checked and said all parts are original though.

Love this reference. Have a 1991 N-series as well. Not too old but also not too new which I enjoy

Can you attach a photo of your N series 16700? I want to see if the hands and dial have matching patina. Thanks

Thanks for sharing, love these one owner watches. That Swiss only dial is pretty unique as well.

Watch in superb condition. I will be planning to go RSC and get a pepsi insert. But due to the policy of 1 for 1 replacement, I am gonna go to a watchmaker and remove my all black insert 1st then go "naked" over to RSC. It's silly but no choice....

I'm curious to see how that plan works out for you, good luck.

Thanks @Sky21. I am planning to do it in a month's time. Now enjoying the all black insert which is much rarer out there. However I still want a pepsi insert to differentiate apart from my 14060M Sub.

16700 has the perfect balance of modern features such as WG surrounds with old world tritium dial, which can develop a unique patina over time, something luminova cannot achieve. It will age gracefully very well indeed.

Lovely photos Sherwin! However I myself may not put on a coke insert on a 16700 as its not period correct.

However whatever floats your boat! I do think coke insert has a more understated charm than pepsi :)

Agreed! I love how the 16700 is more streamlined (thinner) than the 16710. Great examples above!
