Thank you sir and actually although I have a pair of John Lobb Monks those are from Edward Green. In fact a good portion of mine are from Edward Green with a growing number from Gaziano & Girling. I guess you could say I am a fan of their style and they way they finish their shoes more than I am a fan of John Lobb. Although I still appreciate what John Lobb has to offer as well. The boots your referring too are also from Edward Green and both pairs are EG Galways.

All of the pictures I take are when the shoes or boots are brand new. That just happens to be the way I do it. I too have my share of cordovan both in different shades and from different shoemakers such as St Crispins, Crockett & Jones, Carmina, Alden, and Rider Boot Co. However I do find calf and especially when finished by Edward Green or Gaziano & Girling to have more character than cordovan.

Thanks Dan. I've stepped away from new JL's for awhile. I have a G&G MTO schedule to budget for now.

Variety is the spice of life and G&G is definitely a great direction to take.

There really are so many great shoemakers out there to choose from.

Then there's always others such as this Canadian shoemaker called Viberg who make some really great boots.
