From waiting to Daytona to DJ41? Does that make any sense?

I have been waiting for my Daytona SS White for a long time...

Lately, been thinking about either a 36mm or 41mm stainless steel Datajust with WG bezel, oyster link and Rhodium dial with diamond index. My wife tried a similar ladies model this past decemeber and now I can't get if off my mind...

If I go for the DJ, I will give up on the Daytona SS which I dont see myself getting one for at least two years...

Should I wait? DJ does have a lower price point. What kind of discount is for a DJ nowadays?

How does it look for a daily watch? I dont want to be flashy either. I am a t shirt and blue jeans kind of guy.

I might be having second thought with Daytona. Most would not agree but I was having lunch with my Wife and I looked at my beginner level Rolex Subc ND and told myself, this watch still looks pretty great! Not too flashy and just speaks quality! I am sure the DaytonaC SS will be even better but I just felt a Datejust 41mm with WG bezel in Rhodium dial with diamond index will give the difference I needed (I am referring to Daytona and Sub being both a sport).

That's my initial thinking for now. A deal breaker for me is if this SS Datejust 41mm (with WG and diamond index) if it is too flashy and doesn't look good with my typical Tshirt and jeans look... Any comment on this??

I dont think "diamond index" and "not too flashy" fit in the same sentence

Decide which one you truly want, if it's the Daytona wait

100% agree with this. DJ41 is a beautiful watch I don't think you will be disappointed.
