Bloody hell, I didn't check the forum for a few hours and this thread really takes off

Sure if you guys are fine with it, fair enough but for me personally I would not want a total stranger to just poke my watch like that - what's the reason for it seriously? Of course if you are looking at watches then you would be handling them

You were handling their pieces which are substantially more expensive than your's without gloves however they cannot touch your used piece?

Next time move your piece to your other wrist to try one on then.

Their watches were wrapped in plastic- plus I was the one considering purchasing their watches not the other way round..!

And I already moved my watch to the other wrist

Hmmm.... when i asked to try Platona with diamond bezel (USD 100,000 watch) nobody asked me to put gloves on. I am thinking that this thread is created by troll as i would never think that people could be so super sensitive.

Based on your thread rationale, she must have been an absolute 10/10.

I have a Rolex Bluesy too. I wish a hot chick would not only touch my piece but caress it as well.

I had a 15400 in my hands again when suddenly the SA made a reference to my Rolex bluesy I was wearing and then proceeded to touch it with her finger (with no gloves, her other hand had a glove) - she touched the polished gold part as well. I was going to explode at that point - for no reason did she have to touch my watch as well as on the polished part and with no glove on that hand. What do you guys think? I was going to complain but I just carried on looking at other brands for a while. I think on another day I would have gone straight to the manager and complain and have done before with other issues. Do you think this is pretty bad etiquette on her behalf?

all good calm down...now if she dropped the watch that would be an issue. Your rolex is robust enough to take a finger without a glove

, just enjoy wearing your watches and not spend too much time or be ocd about scratches, think of it as adding your patina to your watch.

I get what you are saying in a sense. Me personally, i don't like random people touching ME at all unsolicited. Because my watch is an extension of me, i would have an issue with it. Not because of me being OCD about a watch though, just because of the invasion of my personal space. My AD has asked to look at my watch before and I took it off and handed it to them rather than having them try to handle it while attached to my wrist.

This is why people hate Rolex owners. One bad apple will do it.

Oh I'm talking about the poster. Not the ungloved wench.

If someone came up to your nice shiny waxed car and wiped their McDonald's hamburger hands over the hood, I dare say a punch on the nose would be in order.

So why should it not be any different with your shiny gold (plated) watch

Riding a Harley Davidson as I do, and being a member of that notorious gang with the initials "H.A." would you just come up to my bike and sit on it.....

So why should it be any different with touching my Casio Sports Watch???

In your original post, you stated that you were upset not that she touched your watch, but touched it with an ungloved hand. So upset, that you were about to go to management to complain. That is absolutely ridiculous. You sound like a high maintenance diva that views AD employees lower than yourself.
