116600 Sea-Dweller on an Oysterflex bracelet

For the longest time I've been trying to source an Oysterflex band for my 116600 Sea-Dweller and gentlemen I have done it and it's a dream to wear. :) Enjoy the pictures.

Congratulations. Does it feel better than an Everest band?

Here's some more pix.

Here's some more pictures in a different light. Man it's difficult to post here. My last two attempts were shot down because my message was too short. I hope that by typing all these words it is now sufficiently long.

Nice. Dive watches should have that option.

Nice!

Does it rub against the case, since 116600 has very tight tolerance there

Yes it does and it has created a small dent on the case size of both parts of the strap. But that's fine. Now the has case room for itself it doesn't expand any further.

Wish Rolex would offer the Oysterflex as an option

Mainly because you want the YM on a bracelet

I think it looks great! I wear mine on rubber b all the time but I can see the desire to have a factory strap

You can see it but it isn't dramatic.

Thanks!

May I know your wrist size, as well as the strap side you ordered?

Not excpensive just difficult.

Yeah that's true. However they are very difficult to find. You need to find an AD who has the strap in stock in the right size for you (these straps come in different sizes but aren't adjustable) and the AD has to be willing to sell it to you despite it pissing off Rolex in the case Rolex ever finds out.
Also unless you have a 116655 or at least a corresponding serial number the AD will not at all be able to order additional straps from Rolex, so unless you have the YM you'll have to make do with whatever an AD has lying around.
I got told no a lot before one said yes. I think the fact that this is not supposed to be a stand alone product but merely a spare part for the 116655 Yacht-Master factors into the price.

7,5" size EE

My wrist circumference is 7,5" and the straps I bought were EE for both parts of the strap. I didn't order. I couldn't order because I don't own the Yacht-Master. I just went from door to door visiting ADs until I got lucky and found an AD who had the right size lying around and was willing to sell.

Interesting...I wouldn't have even thought possible the way Rolex controls parts.

Nicely done and looks great.

Looks great and I would pick the Oysterflex over any other rubber strap in the market. There's a metal band inside the rubber for added security. I've seen regular rubber straps breaking and that's the reason why I've not fitted one in my Rolex watches.

By the way to all 116600 owners: The OF decisively takes care of any wobbling issues and wrist-awkwardness. It really seems this watch needs this strap in order to stay on the same spot on the wrist.
