I lift weights everyday. I never wear any watch. It would gets in the way and in my weight room, time doesn't exist. I have taken a run with my Hulk on just to see if it would get in the way and it didn't. That said, I would only wear a Rolex on a vacation work out.

If I wore my Rolex while mountain biking, I would shatter all claims as to its durability. I don't crash often, but when I do, I get my money's worth.

I wear my Explorer II while playing tennis and while playing drums. A lot of arm movement with both activities.

not me. I don't need to see the time when working out. Plus, am afraid of the weight acccidentally hitting the glass or sumthin.
Plus im not in the weight room long enough, maybe 30 mins or so
When in tennis and bball, i play with friends and bag is within few feet from me so not an issue.
That being said, i think its tough enough for any activity, Roger uses it when he practices so..:)

No doubt, a Rolex can take most any activity.
I personally wouldn't wear any of mine while running, lifting, or cycling. Garmin is my go to for those activities.

...in fact, I often wear both of my Subs to the gym. My 114060 on my right wrist and my 14060M on my left, so as not to have unequal weight while doing my curls.

I wear my SD43 for all activities and I mean all activities except for golf. Heck I even wear my Patek Aquanaut to the gym. Doesn't bother me one bit.

I normally wear my Exp 39mm Mk1 in the gym, that is, when I remember to swop it for my SubC with date.
I have a set routine of dumbells and pull ups with 20 min on the cycle in between.
As I wouldn't dream of leaving either in my locker, I wear them!
No problem!

Same here, I only take my BLNR off when I'm about to shower and when I'm going to sleep. Otherwise I do everything with it (jog/run, lift, swim, cook, etc.).

I wear a G Shock at the gym. I own a sea dweller and I dont think that would be a good combination.

I don't understand this comment at all.

I wear my watch all day at work, and I'm not going to take it off at the gym where it may get stolen out of my locker or my car. The odds of it getting stolen off of my wrist are much smaller.

If you have been wearing rolex the whole day, i sure will rather wear it to gym than leave it inside the locker. But if its a weekend, I will prefer to go wrist-empty. You never know if the weights may fall off due to poor form

I don't understand it either. I see plenty of people wearing Omega's and Rolex's at my gym.

Bad attempt at a bad joke. Still doesn't change that I don't understand why people we are jewelry, watches, etc. while at the gym or playing in sporting events.

Thank you always for your valuable insight!

I was wondering, does anyone out there wear their Rolex to do any high intensity tasks? Or workout at the gym? If so..., which Rolex do you wear for these activities?

As a side question, does subjecting them often to such activities require more frequent servicing?

Thank you so much!!!

Other than the occasional swim across the English Channel or climb of Mt. Everest they never see hard duty.

Sure is mate! Get the Eau de Perfume (higher oil concentrate) and not Eau de Toilette (more water based). Its more expensive but lasts up to 8 hours. It's my daily wearer lol.

The one next to it and Tom Ford - for special occasions ;).

Thanks for the tip. I must have the water based because it does not last that long...

I never hesitate to take a Rolex to any activity. About the only thing I was ever careful about was climbing or hiking in the mountains where I thought I would be using my hands. In those cases, I threw my watch in a backpack pocket with keys, wallet, etc.

I personally do not wear my watches while in the gym. Always take it off but i do see a lot of guys with rolexes while lifting. Usually older fellows. Theres this big dude looks like a bear but not in a fat way who wears a YG Daytona while lifting. Looks pretty baller. I wouldn't be so brave.
