Zabar's is delicious but went with the classic Ess-a-bagel this time. Can't beat a perfectly toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese!

Why is it so hard to find a good bagel outside of NY?

The ones here in CA are more like bread with a hole in the center and even though some bagel shops say they boil them, the texture is rarely chewy.

To me, a good bagel turns as hard as a rock after a day or so. The ones that are made out here can last a 2-3 days but that isn't saying a whole lot.

BTW, love the color/shade of your SD dial.

Seriously. Their cream cheese variety is amazing.

I also recommend the scallion cream cheese with the lox. So good. I get it at least once a week.

It's actually become a problem for me, my office is about 6 blocks away and I'm constantly there.

Will have to try Best Bagel next time. Have also been to H&H before and agree it is fantastic!

The SkyD is blue dial, love how the color changes in the lighting.

As far as pizza goes, I did Lucali's last night!
