Why is it so hard to find a good bagel outside of NY?
 The ones here in CA are more like bread with a hole in the center and even though some bagel shops say they boil them, the texture is rarely chewy. To me, a good bagel turns as hard as a rock after a day or so. The ones that are made out here can last a 2-3 days but that isn't saying a whole lot. BTW, love the color/shade of your SD dial.
