I'll be waiting for the "fallout" from the Auckland operation!

Only NATO I have, I tried it on the IIc and it just made it look cheap. So cheap I did not take any pictures of it.

Hi Dan!!
I´m not very fond of Nato bands, but must recognize they are comfy, colorful and very photogenic.
But I find your proposal very fun, so that please enter my name here.
Here goes mine!
Kind regards, Abel

the bracelet itself costs hundreds of dollars. would you really want to replace for a cheap nylon band? what's a rolex without the original band?

Lot's of vintage pieces come without original bracelets. And, as you stated, the cost to replace is enormous. Nylon is a inexpensive alternative with military history.
You want to keep that bracelet looking new? Strap a Nato to your Rolex during your next outing when scratches are likely. Then, reinstall the bracelet to add years of life to it.
