What would you Suggest?
Hi,
I need some help choosing a watch from PP and cant get my head around what’s the right watch for me. Of course I would like to have the Nautilus or the Aquanaut but due to the crazy waiting I am thinking of buying a something else until I can get my hands on one of those. Requirements: Budget max 30k euro I wear all my watches so it must be able to handle it Currently have a Sub, Old Cartier dress watch and some sport watches. Watch need to be in steel, white gold or platinum White dial I would like to buy new PP from AD Would you chose one of the Caltravas models or from the complication collection? I have been looking at 5153G, 5227G, 5296G, 5296G. What would you recommend? Ideas? Or maybe go Vintage and by a Comex (if I can find one)? Im not a big fan of AP and the royal oak... |

I understand if OP is trying to build a relationship with an AD so as to get his new nautilus later on.
For EUR 30k, I recommend 5146G after discount. If you are looking at Calatrava, the 5296G is an elegant piece. Happy hunting :) |

I'd choose 5396 for a dress piece if you can find a good deal, otherwise wait for a 5164 or 5726 which may not be a huge wait.

Leaving aside the likelihood that you’re attempting to butter up the AD by buying something else PP flavoured, I honestly would be more keen on the likes of the following: https://www.chrono24.co.uk/laurentfe...-id7605952.htm https://www.chrono24.co.uk/moritzgro...-id7077531.htm https://www.chrono24.co.uk/moritzgro...-id5653013.htm – though £7K for a PR and WG case might exclude it from serious consideration https://www.chrono24.co.uk/moritzgro...-id6210165.htm – I like this one for its slightly more casual look, as opposed to ostensibly dressy appearance of the Benu. I’d also look at the Lang & Heyne Friedich III, remembering that you can have it with the traditional twin lug rather than solely the triple lug more commonly shown. And if you really are not afraid to walk your own path, I would seriously propose having a thorough look at the likes of the Bovet Recital 15 in standard case form or their unique Amadeo version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfv7MxVMmAA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXSnieNNuB8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwl_F-9pTjc – 38 mins long, but you could skip the first 20 mins of it |

At that price I would wait for the Nautilus I wanted and not settle.
Aren't the white dial Nautiluses easier to get than the blue dials or is that a thing of the past now too?
