DELIGHTFUL. Mother of all collections. Makes me happy to see all these gorgeous watch.
If I sell all my kettle, cannot pay for any of them.

How do you decide what to wear, and are there any of them that you wear less than a week or two in a year?

Pretty insane. I admire the thought that went into the different straps for each - really makes it. At some point i’d be interested to hear how the explorer fits in / when you turn to it. I know it is very popular with many but not one i usually focus.

Spectacular collection! Good for you in keeping the number down to a reasonable amount. I'm having difficulty with pairing down that far, but if I wasn't lazy to sell much of my collection, I'd convert my collection to a similar small group of Journes, Langes, Pateks and Rolexes and stop there.

Fantastic! Have you been collecting for long? And more importantly, how does one establish a relationship with an AD that allows for so many choice pieces? :)

Congratulations, beautiful collection. We have many similar pieces, but you are definitely ahead of me in Journe. I hope to add some pieces (CO, RQ, CS) in the next 1-2 years.

I can't even get my hands on just one Patek. I'm a bit envious.

Exactly what I was thinking. Understandable about the hesitation of letting them go. Sometimes I resolve my choices by reminding myself I’m not in the watch business. If I’m not wearing them, I move them on and make space for something else

Your collection is very impressive.

I looked back through your Rolex forum days and I wondered…

Why did you lose faith in Rolex? I did, way back in the last century … My Cosmograph needed repairing too regularly and I don’t seek attention - rather the reverse. I went IWC.

I also wanted to ask you why the move to PP? The Gronefeld 1941 mechanism reflected true L and S mechanical beauty and attention to detail which PP, seemingly resting on its laurels, seems to have neglected. How does PP challenge that mechanically?

The attention seeking green Nautilus 5711 - well - call me a cynic but the publicity was priceless…. The watch, not so much.

I am calling a PP halt with the 5320 and 5172 and the only PP left to tempt my palate are the minute repeaters. Bankruptcy is not on my menu. But you are not tempted - why?

I’m also curious about your Aquanauts. I saw them as a way around the design copyright of the Nautilus and so I haven't been tempted. What do you think about this issue given Gerald Genta’s views?

Your collection is undoubtedly astounding. Others have asked, but the overlap mentioned by others does seem to be apparent. Are there pieces you find yourself wearing less than others?

I really try hard to wear them all, but rarely wear the Seamaster so it’s likely to go next. Not sure what, if anything, I’ll replace it with.

With regards to the overlap, it doesn’t bother me. Really the only pieces that are quite similar to each other to me are the 5167/5164 and the 5711/5712. That said, the 5167 is much thinner than the 5164 so I find myself grabbing each on its own merits. As I mentioned before, I prefer the simplicity of the 5711 to the 5712 but also enjoying wearing the latter. Cheers!

Congrats on a great collection.

I love the look of the 5320 on the green strap- any chance of a wrist pic next time it makes rotation?

If i noticed correctly, it looks like your 5712R is your only RG piece. It is similarly my only one in that metal, and in fact, the only think I own that is not plat/WG/ss. Thoughts about adding other RG pieces? I was thinking of a 5227R, but might be too classic to get enough wrist time. Also thinking i need some RG in my accessories to coordinate (a little)…
