Calibre 321 availability

Anyone can share their experience on getting a speedmaster Caliber 321? How long did it take you to get it from an AD?

It’s not limited edition but greys are selling these at a premium (per Chrono24), which seems to suggest it’s hard to get.

They are rare at ADs in the UK, but I’m not convinced that there’s a long line of people wanting to buy them.

There are some advertised for about £15000 second hand (about £12000 new), and they seem to hang about so there can’t be that many people who really want them.

I went to my local OB where I'm on the deposit list for a Snoopy. When I inquired about the EW 321, it was basically not going to happen short of my becoming a VIP. I missed the boat for the EW 321 but at least I still have the Snoopy whenever that happens.

I was offered this Ed White 321 couple of months ago, its not that hard to obtain as claimed. I had give it a missed as I am not convinced on the high demand.

Got mine used from a Grey dealer slightly over retail. It was originally bought from the boutique by a VIP who bundled it with a gold one. Seen more Snoopy in the grey market here but probably due to better profits for flipping.

Got on the list in Jan 2020, 2 days after the announcement. Got the call this week (12 Oct). Decided to buy it; figured it’s now or never. Was told it is the third one to be provided to my NJ Omega Boutique. So they are not just sitting in a dealer’s safe like some well known watches out there. I’m not a VIP and have bought now 5 Speedies from OBs since 2014.

Like jakemeister above, I plonked down a sizable deposit with my AD a few days after it was announced. After 18-months and none delivered, my AD agreed it's likely they will never see one and returned my deposit.

I immediately went to the local OB, explained my tale of woe...they took my contact info and told me they will see what they can do.

Three weeks later I got the call.

And a month later I got another call.

I'm hoping I'll get a third call before Christmas.

Would that be for a Snoopy by any chance?

Is the lug to lug measurement the same for the 321 as it is for other Speedmaster professionals?

I think the lack of crown guards makes the 321 look long and narrow compared to the pro versions, but I suspect it’s the same length.

Having worn it, does it wear different to a pro version?

Thanks.

It takes up less real estate on the wrist for sure, but I think it’s ever so slightly longer lug to lug by about 1mm. Here is a pic of them together and one of each on the wrist

There should be a way for us to cross post to Omegaforum.net at the same time!

Thanks for showing the comparisons on your wrist. We’re in the process of a home renovation and all of the watches are boxed and secured away so I’m living off of an Apple Watch and a JS Watch SIF Nart (which cannot be destroyed).

Lug spacing is 19mm, and springbar to springbar measures 43mm.

And although it's been a while since I've had a Speedy Pro in the collection, the Ed White has a smaller wrist presence. Largely due to the lighter and thinner bracelet.

I also find it harder to slip over my hand...but then again I have wide hands.

Most I know find it hard to get on. I think it’s because the clasp is small and therefore makes the hole to get the hand through smaller.

I ended up receiving a text from my local AD. They might be receiving one so it looks like I will be hunkering down a chunk when it arrives. Snoopy is definitely not happening they said. Lol

I love this watch. I have been first on the list to get one since it came out and they have received 0 so far.

Dymanic duo for sure

Sure hope we can connect if you ever come back to Toronto Would love to see that 321.

I may reach out to an AD here again today as they are a relatively large dealer for Omega.

Have any Ed White 321 speedmasters been allocated by AD's in the United States? I have been on the list since its inception and my AD has not yet received one.
