Belt of ellipse 3788/1

Hello! And nice to meet you here for the first time.
I always wanted a gold bracelet ellipse for a while and finally bought one from online shop.
I have a question. The belt of this watch, I seen other Brock and mortar shop in NYC the bit that connect links , the round side is up and maybe the flat side down? I could not tell from the site picture more the zoom call I did with them to see the item.
I think the rounded side should be up? The texture of the flat “blushed “ links feels a bit rough to touch. I didn’t expect this at all. If the watch is legit it’s ok (as the shot say, but no paper nor box)
I would like opinion of anybody owns this type bracelet elleise.
I’m hoping it’s nothing wrong and if this is just the style of it it’s ok. It’s still returnable at this moment so if you think this is not legit for any reason , please let me know.
