[Identify] Grandfather's rolex

Just a question to you guys. I'm being shown this old rolex from my grandad and I'm curious about its make. I don't have much info at the moment but its likely to be bought pre-owned rather from an AD many years ago. Looking online I cant quite find similar watches. Your expertise is greatly appreciated everybody!

I can't tell you about the specific model but it looks to be in great condition. The bezel is referred to as a 'diamond pyramid bezel'. I DO know that anything that came with it originally is a rare bird in such nice condition. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along to help you soon. Grandpa was a cool customer that's for sure!

Can you show the other side and a pic of the clasp?

.

A DateJust with a president bracelet have to be a 31mm or 26mm.

Could your Watch be a 68258 31mm DJ model, with this particular bezel ?

You should remove bracelet and read the model between lugs at 12h.

The pyramid diamond bezel is a bit different (has only one pyramid between twin diamonds).
I've usually seen Roman dial or diamond dial but not an Arabic dial. The wide spacing between SWISS and MADE leads me to think about a redone dial?
It would be typically called a Lady President if all was correct.

Nothing we can say about what's inside - so best thing is to have RSC validate it or an AD there in London.

With the diamonds and the face, it looks like a ladies watch to me.

Personally I was thinking there's some after market done on this. It still in Singapore, not with me at present but I will be going back on holiday soon. Will take it to the RSC there and have a look. Many thanks for the tip!

.

OP's picture bezel is called "Pyramid finish bezel set with brilliants" and is perfectly conform to Rolex catalog (on models 68258 and 78258).

Interesting that the hands are luminous but the dial is not. I thought both had to match?

I have to say that this is the best "Grandfather's" watch I've seen here yet!
