Grand seiko diver sbga029 spring drive vs submariner date maxi dial

I like both of these watches. I love Seiko Divers, they are "the Divers watch" to me and the Seiko model above seems very similiar to the submariner in terms of color and asthetics. I would love a sub but the Seiko is half the price. Is there anything about the Spring Drive that would prevent me or bring caution to buying one? Is there anything else that I should know?

Given the price difference, it's not a fair poll.

Buy the one you like better.
If you like Seiko better, buy it.

If you like the Sub better, wait until you can comfortably buy it and get it then.

Don't settle.

I like Both, give that Black divers watches are soo common, the only ones I like are these two. Kind of dont like the gold accents on the seiko but do like the larger size. Can anyone post a true side by side pic?

Personally I only like the indicator on the dive watches for GS, so it's ok here for me. I love Seiko but this watch is much larger so IMHO if this is a watch to wear with dress clothes as well I would probably go with the sub. However if it is used more casually the Seiko is great. I would actually compare it more to a Sea-Dweller. Although many people here Will Rock any watch with a suit, so really pick what you like best, but don't settle because that is a large sum to settle.
