Rolex Price Correction. PM?

Just wondering if there's a market correction on used rolexes will PM models also lower in price?

Lots of speculation on the SS sports models; just looking for some opinions on the PMs if they would be impacted if ever there is a market correction.

I've been eying the 116688 YM2 in YG for a hot second. So my question is geared towards this not so popular model.

The PM pricing on the secondary market has not gone up anywhere near as much as the increase on SS pricing. Especially when looking at the proportion to retail price. So there is much less to correct on PM pricing.

I personally believe because of this that PM pieces offer the best value buys right now.

The 116618 is a YG Sub, not a YM2. You mean 116688.

PM prices still have gone up. When looking at percentage wise not as much as SS but in terms of dollars very similar.

(i.e) I bought my RG SkyD for $34k flat BNIB. They are all around the $38k price now. Thats about a $4k increase.

LV is about $9k sells now for around $12k. Thats a $3k increase. Percentage wise its alot because its a much cheaper watch.

When we bought PMs we never expected price appreciation at all, just hoped we didn't lose our backsides even with the great discounts we could get... and now you buy a Rolex PM and you expect to maybe make a little money, and if you buy a PM Nautilus like some lucky bugger here did, well he might be looking at an astonishing 100% price rise today.

It's better to increase price and supply.

If you knew the price would go down in 20 years, would you wait...?

Hurry up and grab one, your missing out on heart pallipitations and all that heft on your wrist!

Any WIS will notice you from across the room, not to mention all the great service you get when test driving cars...

Yes short term profits would skyrocket.

Long term would flood the market with watches and ultimately lower value of product especially with a major correction.

Rolex is thinking long term.

I started a thread on this some time ago. When you can pick up an immaculate recent pm variant for the price of a grey ss, something is seriously about to correct, biggggg correction looming. I got my pm’s at 50c on the dollar, do the math, thats a grey ss...

I passed on one too because at a 15% discount, I thought it was still too overpriced.
