Panerai Luminar Replica or Real???

The watch isn't in the best shape but I am wondering if anyone can tell if it is real or a replica. If real, what is a reasonable amount to pay for it in the shape it is in? Don't care if not real. No box or papers. Anyone know exactly what model it is?

I think it is fake but would be nice if someone could confirm.

In terms of the model reference, it looks to be a PAM 48

How did you get that? I did some research on the model number and think it's a PAM70

How is the watch running? Based on the mediocre pics it looks like it really just needs a good polish with a Cape Cod cloth. The straps have seen better days. Hopefully somebody else can chime in as to whether this one is legit.

Personally I would never ever buy a used Pan without box & all paperwork and possibly even an original sales receipt if a private sale.

Sorry, but just far too many high quality copies knocking about to risk it without full providence.

That goes for all branded watches including Rolex tbf.

That looks like a fake to me. One of the biggest tells is the crown is way too close to the case.

I also don’t like the crown, and the back case looks weird.

Also i'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to say "automatique" on the back. If anything, it would be automatic, or automatico. I see no reason why it would be in french seeing as how this is an Italian brand...

Dunno.... when looking at Google images of “Panerai 48”, this example seems to match up. But, what’s strange is that there are at least three examples of case backs with the end of the word “Automatic/que” being blurry...

That being said, I would never buy a watch if I had even a .001% doubt as to its authenticity. And there are good Panerai fakes out there, so, I’d pass on this one.

I wouldn’t buy. Appears fake with these pics. Take my advice for what it is worth. Free...
