Currently traveling in Thailand. Walked into the Hour Glass Boutique at Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok. Sitting in the display a beautiful 5370P!

I thought these were waitlist only? So stunning in person!

I don't know how their "application" process work but recently I have seen both 5370P and 5204R sitting in AD display NW of England

Same. Certificate arrived from factory with my name on it. I guess if customer decided not to buy the piece would be available

That sounds likely. On several occasions I was told the company invested on those pieces, obviously they are not going to say a customer declined it.

Very interesting. Thanks for the info. Wouldn’t be in the realm of one my purchases currently but definitely on the grail list. Such a beauty in person.

I’ll probably have to stick a 5170g to start first (whenever I decide to make that leap).

Ohh great you made my day!!
So including all in all 138g.

So it’s a few grams heavier than the 5170P.
The 5170P has included all 121grams.
Thanks very much!!

And... I would say pretty well all PP pieces are readily available - client dependant.

In Germany? During a recent trip I saw 2 5204 and 2 5370P at different authorized dealers in Germany. Always thought those were application pieces

Many thanks for your contribution to the photo and appreciation thread.

Patek has always supported dealer and client applications, any dealer can put in an application for any piece (and a lot are turned down). In some parts of the world dealer applications are the norm.

Mine was a client application, as were other owners in this thread, but of course equally you can walk into a store and pick up a dealer application piece.

Is it typical to keep a double split watch with the second hands at 53 and 7, or at 24 and 36, or is this something that just a couple of posters here do? Serious question.

That is the best way to photograph the split second complication. Even the Patek museum piece 2512 is photographed in similar fashion.

By the way none of the Patek split second chronographs has a double split function.

Thanks. It does look cool, although I think if I owned one, I'd think it was also cool to reset the chrono so it looked like a regular chrono and then start one of the chronos.

And thanks for the clarification. I guess I was thinking ALS with their double and triple splits.
