Beautiful watch and great pics, congrats! I too was torn over white vs black, but ever since picking mine up in February I have not once regretted taking the black dial. It just never gets old.

For me, black suits a black bezel & white suits a SS bezel.
The 5712 should mix up the symmetry of the Daytona. Did you struggle over the 5712/5726 choice?
Regards

Haha. Yes, I do! Just wanna enjoy that crisp new watch feeling a little longer. I like the way it looks when I put it to bed at night with the bezel protector on in the box!

Actually I didn't. The 5712 was love at first site. I initially saw it in WG with leather strap at my local AD, but as much as I liked it I was keen to see the SS version before pulling the trigger on such a big purchase. And after seeing the SS version in the flesh, I've never turned back. While I think the 5726 is a beautiful watch, the thickness and weight of it was a little too much for me. I was looking for a more sleek piece for my first Patek.

Are you debating between the 5712 and 5726?

Congrats. I agree about the black. It looks so crisp and just pops in person. Great looking watch.

Hi.
There wasn't much of a debate for me either. I went for the 5726 SS. I'm lusting after, a now discontinued, white or black dial 5980.
Stunning in white.
I have a feeling if we were to contact 100 people who chose between 5712 and 5726, we would find those that admit to having any degree of OCD would go for the 5726, such as myself.

How would OCD lead you to a 5726?!

When I say OCD, I really mean it with a touch of salt.
For example if my wife tears out a coupon from a newspaper, I would then cut around the voucher - so it's neat. Not really OCD, but maybe 1%.
Anyway back to the 5726. An OCD mind likes things neat and tidy. The 5726's dial is nea, tidy and symmetrical, as opposed to the 5712 which is here there and everywhere - dialwise.
Does it make sense now?
Regards
