The best that I have been is the Emirates Business class lounge. I have not been to their first class lounge.

Amex Centurion are great, and I love the perk of the Priority Pass lounges though they are always packed and not very big, but the nice thing about staying at the Graycliff resort in the Bahamas is they have their own private club at Nassau International Airport. Quaint little club, hard to beat cigars and drinks before you go back to reality!! I know lots of cigar makers claim to be as good as Cuban's but in this case Graycliff's smokes really are in a class all by themselves!

Ah, that's right. Forgot there was a second BA lounge there.

The Virgin Upper class lounge at Gatwick and Heathrow are very good - excellent food and whatever you want to drink. Mini spa/facials/massages and even got my haircut once.

The reciprocal ones at Vegas and Miami were really quite poor - I think they are shared lounges with a few airlines.

Been to LH Business Lounges both in FRA and MUC. To my surprise, it was less crowded in FRA.

The pretzel and huge beer glasses are the things that make it unique compared to other lounges. (I`m Belgian, so I am not that crazy about German beer).

the concorde room is better now than ever. You get your own first class security area right off the check in desk and never enter the general security line so its different than fast track.

The security checkpoint opens up directly into the concorde room. Its super nice and the entry process from airport arrival to lounge is the best i have experienced, ever. Takes about 5 minutes from check in to getting a drink of top shelf whiskey in the lounge.

sometimes its not even the lounge itself that makes it the best, its the ease of the airport experience.

You can still get the first class check in and security based on gold status though i believe. You just turn into the FC lounge and not the Concorde room after clearing security.

Nice! Been a couple years since I was in London. Hopefully will get back soon to check out the new check-in process. Makes a plush experience even more plush!

Malaysia Airlines lounge in Kuala Lampur is great. Lufthansa lounges in Frankfurt are pretty good too. Singapore has great airport lounges.
Generally I feel the US lounges are not as nice or food as good as most in Asia and the nicer ones in Europe.

Bringing this back from the dead. Anyone else have any new opinions since April last year? I’m absolutely stoked for the Centurion Lounge in Denver. Coming 2019. In the mean time, pour your own in Delta SkyLounge remains the best option in DIA.

My regular one is London Luton Aspire, its quite poor compared to some of them.

I tried Aspire at East Midlands and Birmingham and both were actually worse.

The Polaris lounge in Newark is basically my idea of heaven.

Showers. Suites.

A huge gourmet buffet. Ful service gourmet restaurant. Open bar. Candy, chocolates and really just about anything you can imagine in an airport lounge.

Only been in once. My guess is that it’ll be my only time. But it was amazing!!

Anything domestic (US) can count itself out...

It seems like anything international is being treated at least human, if not better. Domestic is absolute garbage.

The only one I have ever been in (and regularly go in) is East Midlands so can’t make a comparison.

What I can comment on though is the people – a big percentage of low life riff raff, making sure they consume as much ‘free’ alcohol as possible.

I like to have a few drinks but always make sure in dressed well and I'm not loud..

There was a "chav" family in the Luton one last time.

I haven’t been in the Virgin lounge for a while, but though it was great. The Concorde Lounge is, in my opinion, much quieter/smarter and the best I’ve been in - if you could ever get a spot for the free massage you’re promised (which you can’t as it’s always full) then it would be perfect..

Same here. I was at one in Vienna recently - not too bad.

Was in the Amex lounge in MIA and PHL last Friday... They're shutting down the MIA one this week to expand it, thankfully. Has always been too crowded there...

ANA lounge at Tokyo(HND) is one of my faves. Great food and service.

For Priority Pass use, the PGA lounge in Minneapolis (MSP) is awesome for their golf simulators!

the last two Amex lounges i visited were so overcrowded i just left. Dallas is awful. IMO it defeats the purpose so they need to do something to control capacity even if it means you have to pay to enter in addition to having the correct card. Its gotten ridiculous. A couple of years ago it was great as i remember using the seattle lounge frequently when it was new and there was always plenty of seating

Definitely the Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt. Most stress free travel experience. They have a private security team that is very professional and unintrusive, then they pick you up, clear customs in the lounge and drive you to the plane when they are ready for you to board. The food and drink selection is amazing (something like 80 varieties of vintage whiskies), and I always enjoy taking a full bath when I'm there.

Done First on Cathay, Singapore, Emirates, Etihad, JAL, ANA, Asiana, BA and Qantas their lounges don't match the perfection of Lufthansa though some have the better on board product.

i flew american flagship first recently out of their main hub in Dallas and they didn't even have a lounge in the terminal. Probably the last time ill fly AA in international first class. Went to the AMEX lounge and had to leave as there were no seats there either.

Its being renovated or something, but no contingency plan at all from what i saw.

In general european lounges are so much better than ones in the states. Because "premium status" is so devalued on US carriers and they all get access to overcrowded sub par lounges/upgrades etc .You can also get lounge status with a CC (like AA admirals club membership with a citi card). On my connecting flight there were 125 passengers and the announcement at the gate said there were 87 elite passengers on the flight. When the majority have status, its no status at all. Totally ridiculous.
