12 Watch Collection - Time to Take a Pause

So I started 2018 with a resolution to stop adding any more watches to my collection for a while.
The collection started in 2008 and 10 years later, I think it is time to take a pause and allow my tastes to mature before taking the next step.

Watches in Order of being acquired -

1. Breitling - Super Avenger
2. Panerai - Luminor Marina - PAM 422
3. Eterna - Kontiki Diver - 1000m
4. Omega - Railmaster XXL
5. Jaeger LeCoultre - Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph
6. Zenith - Montres D’Aeronef featuring 5011K movement 55 mm (Zegg Cerlati Limited Edition)
7. IWC - Portugieser Yacht Club RG
8. Rolex - Deep Sea Sea Dweller (Deep Blue Special Edition)
9. IWC - Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Kurt Klaus Limited Edition
10. Nord Zeitmaschine - Quick Indicator
11. Omega - Seamaster Ploprof
12. Hublot - Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph Titanium (featuring Zenith El Primero movement)

You have a lot to enjoy there. I see the point in taking a pause and reflect upon next steps without rush.

Well, the box is full so I guess it's time to stop!

A extremely varied collection, very nice.

Seeing the EWC there, and the PAM closeby, actually makes the EWC look small. I had an EWC many years ago, when it was first released. Loved the dial, and the quick change strap system was ahead of its time back then. It's was however always a little big for me.

It is a handmade box I bought from a forum member a few years back. Thanks.

you could add/replace to some bracelet models....maybe some vintage or a simple design like the IWC Mark XVIII

Great collection! I love diversity. The standout for me is the JLC Master Compressor. Super cool watch.

Vintage models are usually quite small and hence haven’t attracted me. But many brands are doing modern interpretations of vintage models - that is something I would like.

Wow, there’s some BIG wrist clocks in there! That Zenith! I’m intrigued by Nord, but I feel the case is just too big for me, if he could use a smaller base movement and shrink the case I’d be very interested.

:-)

I do like em big!

The Zenith (57.5 mm) is a special edition. Kind of like the Panerai Egiziano or Mare Nostrum.
With an original 5011K chronometer movement from the 70’s (not designed in the 70’s, but actually manufactured in the 70’s)

Not to be worn every day, really. More of a collector’s piece. It is this piece that has given birth to their Pilot’s line if the last 3-4 years.

The Nord - very interesting watch and mechanics. Poor readability, but certainly a piece of kinetic art on your wrist.

Pretty sure that mint AF 7923 Tudor sub is worth well into 6 figures.

Wouldn’t we all like to add one of those!
