Indeed - bought it in October and wondered about hanging on to see if they changed the movement to in house after Basel 2020, but given it’s accuracy, the problems with the GMT in-house movement, recent warranty extension to 3.5 years and the bargain price in a Sale from an AD new of only £1500 / $2000 USD I couldn’t be happier!

I wonder if there's a thread for gmt owners that haven't had the issue. I've only seen the ones that state there is a problem

I just got 8 years on my new Tudor 1926. 5 from Tudor and 3 years extended thrown in by the AD as part of the deal.

Well, if we're interpreting Grady's comment literally to mean that 51% or more of owners don't have a problem, then the GMT issue doesn't contradict it. I read his intent as something more comprehensive than that, though.

Anecdotal evidence isn't conclusive, but that doesn't mean it's irrelevant. There are enough reports for us to reasonably conclude that the date issue is, at the very least, not insignificantly rare. I suspect Rolex would have made good regardless of an active warranty, but it's nice to have it in writing when issues like this can sometimes occur.

Has anybody seen any announcement from Tudor on the warranty extension?

All the discussion I've seen appears to be sourced from the Millenial Watches post?

Before I purchase online (b/c can't get the GMT from any local ADs), I would like to get some comfort by seeing something directly from Tudor.

The longest the better! I just bought a Tudor GMT in Barcelona Spain today and it came with a 5 yrs warrant! 👍

Scroll to the bottom of the tudor official website, and click tudor guarantee. It's all there..

That is good to hear. My BB GMT purchased Dec 2018 is working fine but its nice to have the piece of mind.

And as other's have said, this a known problem I wouldn't be surprised if Tudor stepped up after the warranty. I would hope so anyway.
