Do ADs give out the green travel pouches for your Rolex?

Hello all, forgive me if this has been asked, but a search on the forums hasn't yielded anything (for me).

The green travel pouches (like the one in the photo below)- how does one obtain them beside buying them on the second-hand market?

Do ADs sell them or give them out? (and do you have to ask in some odd "special" way?)

Thanks in advance.

I got mine from a Rolex service centre after they repaired my watch. Guess you get them in other ways too

AD gifts are a growing into a past tense memory. They cannot even keep stock anymore.. RSC does but you have to spend 1k in service to get one

I actually think these things are crappy. I got an old Tissot I had serviced and they sent it back to me in a padded, zippered shell perfect size for a single watch. Travel with it all the time now.

My ADs watchmaker gave me one when I asked, but I don't believe it's common practice.

I got a smaller green pouch made from that same suede material, mostly to store my removed links when I purchased my watch.

I originally bought one on eBay soon after buying my watch. But be aware that most of these pouches available on the secondary market are missing the stiff insert which keeps the watch from crumpling down into the bottom. Without the insert, the watch will rub against itself in the pouch.

I received another one with my watch after the RSC service.

I picked up one in Hong Kong for about $HK100. Works really well if ever asked to remove watch at airport security (LA - I am talking about you!).

I got the leather version which is an official Rolex giveaway. It’s ok but the green one is better from my point of view. It’s a great looking piece and offers more bump protection but the cheap green one is the go.

Be careful on eBay, lots of non-authentic green ones. Not that it really matters. Try to get one with the insert to wrap your watch around.

Tokyo RSC gave me one when they changed the bezel insert on my GMT Master II. No service required.

I also have my AP Jumbo in service for a routine overhaul that will cost me a smooth ¥130,000 JPY. Will pick it up on Jan 6th after I am back in Japan. It will be interesting to see what kind of travel pouch they give me with that.

Yes, I was given this pouch. I had never seen it before but I found it really practical, slim and protects the watch so well.

I got mines back from rsc service

Interesting to compare how TVs Rolex & Omega watches come back from service. The omega service case is pretty cool

This isn't correct. I was given one for a much lesser amount when I had a Tudor serviced in London, they actually sent me a Rolex pouch.

A very big, special thanks to @denmanproject. He was so kind and generous to mail me one that he wasn't using. Despite local mail's "best efforts" to lose the pouch, it arrived today.

Thank you again, sir!

I got mine on ebay (I didnt want to wait until the watch needed service). I agree, you need to get one that includes the insert. I think the most amazing detail about these pouches is the gold Rolex lettering has a hologram or watermark on it. It really adds something special. For what its worth, I try to get service cases for all of my watches. Its one thing to find a place to keep your watch at home, but when I'm traveling, it's always a challenge. Some companies are more than happy to send them to you (Omega for example), Rolex will give you one if you stop by a service center or if you have the watch serviced. Other companies charge an absolute fortune for theirs.
