First Rolex- buying advice please!!

I am very excited to finally afford my first Rolex.

Looking to get a Datejust 41, Black dial, two tone, jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel.

What would the wait time be to get one do you Guys think? Can anyone recommend best dealer to go to near Surrey/London?

Oh, and if anyone has the model I want please feel free to send some lovely watch porn!!!

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

Best way, would be to visit a few local AD’s have a chat about what you are looking for and see what they say.

No one on here knows what stock or when stock arrives at AD’s

Good luck in your search, I hope your able to find the DJ you want soon.

I love the DateJust. Very under stated piece.
Click on the link above to see my collection - I have a couple of pics in there of the DJ, 126334.

Welcome to the Forum !

Lovely choice for a first Rolex. I would definitely go Fluted Bezel and the Jubilee bracelet is a bonus.

May be worth popping into an AD. Maybe Goldsmiths or WOS. But bare in mind - you will be waiting around 6-12 months due to demand and supply issues.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Find your closest and most convenient AD. Go in person. Talk to them about your situation and what you want. If they say they can’t help you then try the next closest. But, they should be able to help.

I’d guess about 6-12 months for that reference also.

Go back in person once a month or two and stay hi and check in on things to stay on their radar.

Would be a good idea to measure your wrist also. If you’re under 7 inch I’d recommend the DJ36. It’s cheaper and less demand and would be more comfortable.

I would try smaller independents

Hi
I registered with WOSG (Goldsmiths) for a DJ about 5 months ago. No action as yet.
But when I did register the first thing they did was to try to get me to buy alternative products to ‘enhance’ my position.
They continue to be swamped by people wanting to register and it is really hard to stand out.
It is a shame as I am not a flipper and would not sell and just want a Rolex to enjoy but it is very hard to demonstrate this.
Whilst I am patient I have decided to buy other brands, indeed bought a new Speedy from Goldsmiths, but this seems to have made no difference viz Rolex position.
My recommendation is to try a small independent in a market town where you can tell the, your story.
Good luck

Two tone black dial? I doubt you will have to wait long for it.

And that's exactly what's wrong with some so called Rolex owners today who think they got to bribe the AD or kiss ars# before being allowed to buy a watch.

I put my name down at goldsmiths 3 years ago and I’d actually forgotten.
Then out of the blue they rang me on Tuesday to pick it up which I did yesterday.
I believe there’s a new regime at goldsmiths after allegations of underhand practices regarding who gets what and they are trying to get a bigger customer base instead of rewarding loyalty.
I’ve spent lots of money over the years with goldsmiths on omegas tudors jewellery’ etc.
I’m actually still in shock as I got the blue face oyster and fluted bezel.

Not gonna lie, a DJ41 2t as a first Rolex isn’t common, but I like it.

Congratulations
