53 years old!

Although I was 27 when I got my all gold Speedmaster.

Kids, schooling, family and other similar unnecessary incidentals seem to have gotten in the way during that intervening period.

28 - first one was a GMT-Master II 16700 Stainless with all black bezel.

38 - second one was a Sea-Dweller 16600.

Have a log book for both watches of all the countries and oceans I have visited with them along with all the USS Ships I have cruised on and all Aircraft I have flown. I plan to give them to my twins when they graduate college. Wish I had something like that from my father with all the countries he visited while in the Service.

Fresh out of college in 1996. My father went to the safety deposit box and gave me my grandfather's 1968 meters first 5513 Sub all original. It was there since 1984. I have a period correct bracelet and the original stretch rivet which I don't use.

It's been my daily watch since. In fact I just picked it up Saturday from a full service (no polishing). It needed a new mainspring, balance staff, and reversing wheel. It's used the way it should be since it's inception. It hans't gotten any rest since 1996. I'm typing with it back on my wrist.

I have fond, vivid memories back in the late 70's of sitting on my grandfathers lap and holding his wrist up to the table lamp and then cupping my hands over the watch to see the glowing lume. Fast forward 40 years and my girlfriend's son does the same exact thing.

A quick wrist shot at work. Sorry for the dullness of it. There are little white specks of dust picked up on the crystal and the lume looks green. It's actually a puffy, warm yellow patina. It's what I get taking photos on an ancient iPhone 5

I bought my son a Daytona in 1998 as a College Graduation gift.I was 52 he was 22. Bought a Sky D for me at age 71 and a 31mm DJ Diamond IV for my wife who's age I am forbidden to divulge.
