They are very close to each, but still different shades of white. Both are more creamy white compare to a white dial DJ.

From white (0) to creamy white (1), I will go with this order, DJ white dial (0), SS Sky white (0.75), OP39 (1). Hope my number make sense to you guys.

I own two. Love sometimes even changing one up mid day.

The Grape and the Blue. Beautiful and change in different lighting. I highly recommend. They work with suits or jeans.

I had my choice between the white and rhodium at the AD. I chose the rhodium but I do like all the other color options too.

You will not regret spending your money on this model. It’s a great watch.
Great shot! And it's nice to hear it's something you gifted to your son. I hope to do the same one day.

Wow! Do you have any trouble with the readability of the darker dials?

What do you guys think in terms of long term value?

Also - how hard do you think these should be to source from an AD, and would you expect any discount off MSRP?

I feel like the AD’s are playing the game of steel is hard to get right now and since you cannot get a sports model these are taking there place. That’s what I was told at one AD this weekend and then I walked into another and they had it there just in the back.

Long term. No. I mean they will hold their value. In the market right now in Japan I could sell either of these for what I paid for them. One I bought two years ago. So they are holding their value.

Future. Who knows. I had to go Grey because my nearby ADs did not have them. So that answers that. ADs did not have the colors I wanted in stock.

Stopped by one of the Toronto ADs today to check out the OP39. They had two in the case - grey/blue and black.

Tried them both on. I liked the black a lot, though I was really hoping to see the white dial model. Seems that’s the most popular.

The watch felt great on the wrist. Very comfortable and sizeable - though I do think the lugs make the DJ41 feel more substantial. The DJ41 bezel is also much heftier.

Overall, I liked it a lot. It could be great for dress or for casual.

I purchased last week the white OP39. Great watch for suit or casual dress.

The white dial shots in this thread are fantastic. If I was in the market for an OP 39, I would go with that exact model. It was a great release from Rolex last year.

In particular, one of my favorite parts of the white dial are the black squares between the end of the dial and the hour markers. I prefer the simplicity of these squares over text denoting minutes (i.e., 5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) on this watch.

Haven’t physically seen either black or white dial variants at my two ADs as they never have them in, but they can order either with a 20 week lead time.

I'm impressed with the beauty and simplicity of the white/cream dial in this thread. I didn't expect it to look so good. I've been giving some thought to the blue dial these days, but the green markers combined with the blue dial don't work for me. I've got to see the white IRL.

I know people will think I am crazy, but I have sold off a BLNR and a 16570 because I just like the White OP more. It is understated but still has some uniqueness due to the chameleon dial. It also has the heft and feel of modern Rolex but with the style reminiscent of vintage pieces. For my style, it is perfect. I wore it with a suit all week and then with casual wear today. It’s amazing.

White OP 39 and Omega Speedmaster First Omega in Space.

I have thought about swapping the FOIS for either something really dressy like a Grand Seiko SBGW231 or something like a 214270 Explorer.

I’ve downsized to two watches, and, if I had to go down to one, the white OP39 would be the one and only!

Sorry for the terrible photos. But as someone who has tried on every variant of this model I should probably chime in. I originally went in with the intentions of buying the rhodium dial. However after seeing the new dial configurations of the 2018 releases I knew it had to be either black or white. I ended up getting the black dial because it felt like it was more of my "style". However the white dial was a total knockout in person. I even audibly said so out loud at the AD. I can see why people like it so much. If they ever release the rhodium dial with the all lume markers and they get rid of the blue dots then I might have to pay my AD another visit lol.

Agreed. I wasn’t into the blue dots either.
