Here’s my 1970’s Date. All Date models were 34mm. Quit asking for other people’s opinions on what’s right for you.

6.8 you are fine with 36. My wrist is 7.

Not a big watch, but I think the larger size just doesn’t look that great on the Datejust.

I have a large wrist and I wear both the Batman and the DJ36. After years of wearing the Batman, the DJ36 seems small when i had to repair the Batman even though the DJ36 was my first watch. I was so used to the bigger look on the Batman.

However, after a few days wearing the DJ36, it’s fine for me. It’s good to switch between the sizes and I love my DJ36 with the hidden jubilee clasp.

You're wearing an older 36mm. The OP will buy a newer model with a slimmed down case/lugs etc.

Makes the 36 looks even more svelte.

The size of your watch is a bit like sex - it's all in your head.

Get what YOU want. I'm actually in the same boat with my 214270 and considering swapping it for a 116200 cos it's better proportioned to my eyes. But...... for some reason i haven't done it yet!

Was a bit of an adjustment but now it dominates my work wrist time. The decision was easier for me though because I thought the dj41 looked hilarious in me. You’ll find the actual dial size of the dj36 to be extremely similar if not the same as the sub and Daytona.

I also have the same size wrist and wear a 36 Day-Date and it looks perfect on my wrist.

Agreed. I have a 14060 Sub and the 116200 DJ. To me, the 36mm DJ feels closer in size to the Sub than the DJ41. The 36mm DJ has the same size bracelet, and the dial on the DJ is actually bigger than the Sub's dial. On the wrist, the Sub and 36mm DJ actually feel very similar to me.

I’m reviving an old tread…which watch did you end up going for?
I think you should try on a light dial DJ36 and look at yourself in a mirror at the AD instead of looking down at your wrist.
This will give you a good idea of how it truly looks on you.

My wrist is just slightly larger and I have a white smooth DJ41 on oyster. It’s the perfect GADA watch for me and compares to e.g.the Omega Aqua Terra and wears quite sporty. This being said, the fluted version on Jubilee is much more blingy. Personally, I enjoyed this watch much more in 36mm, since it wears much more elegant in that size.
The truth is that both sizes will look good. It’s more about what you want in the watch. Either a dressy sport watch or an elegant watch for the office, nice dinners, etc.
