Kermit 16610LV Market Price Question

Good morning, what would be a fair market price to pay for this Kermit? Watch has RSC papers and is unpolished.

Thanks in advance!

:) ok i revise my estimation to 15-17k usd.
However, unpolished doesnt mean high price for some people. If its unpolished but have dents, nicks and scratches with loose bracelet it doesnt fall into the market price range for the particular watch.
For 15k eur it must be in mint condition.

For an M series such as yours $12k sounds about right.

Right now, around 13-14k USD for an unpolished full set in good shape. Full set would include at least the original box, booklets, tags, warranty card and holder, and receipt. Worth less if missing these.

You'll see them on sale for more but I don't see them moving.

I agree with the consensus...this looks to be in good condition so current market is in the $12K range. If a full set with boxes and paperwork $15K.

I have a early D serial with original papers and hangtag. Unpolished, with some wear. I plan to list for 13k.

Problem with these are they need to end up in the hands of a collector. There are plenty of naked Kermit’s in fair condition for cheap. At the 15k range you’re competing with a lot of other watches. I think a mint unpolished full set is worth every penny of 14-15k. But it’s not an easy sale.

Hi all. Is there some agreed upon meaning when using the term "unpolished"? Is it just a nicer way of saying that it's all scratched/swirled up and deserves to be restored/polished out but hasn't been?

Pretty much, but polishing always removes some of the metal and most polishing jobs destroy the factory cut chamfers. For that reason, I wouldn't equate "polishing" to "restoration," since the watch is decidedly less original after a polish than it was before the polish.

For me, I don't mind scratches, I like the look of factory chamfers, and I don't like the idea of removing metal.

Not my money but 14k sounds reasonable. RSC with NO polish? Hmmm

Great. Thanks. What do you think happens to the value of the watch, either to buy or to sell, when it achieves "unpolished" status?

That's a good question. Probably not a lot if it's a light polish professionally done, but it really depends on the buyer. Some won't mind. If it's a bad polish or has been polished repeatedly, I think the value can drop quite a bit. That's probably why a lot of people would just rather buy a watch unpolished, myself included. If they wanna polish it later, they always can.

To all of you that have given an estimate: What is the mk of the said watch? Dial configuration that is. Does it stack up wrt.:

- print on the dial
- SWISS
- insert version
- serial

If not; how can you give an estimate?

I see this one in average condition.

Check the bezel ($$$’s), the bracelet and only service papers?
