Incoming! 79270P

Hi everyone,

Haven't picked up a timepiece in awhile and decided to pull the trigger on the Tudor 79270P. Has an aftermarket sapphire crystal but for the price i paid definitely no regrets!

Figured i'd share with the community haha

Keep in mind that Tudors have always had a lower magnification than Rolex

In all the years I've been interested in Tudors, both vintage and new, I've never seen any evidence of this.

OP, congrats on your 79270P!

Say WHAT?

First photo is my 79270, second is my 75090 Sub. Both have "proper" magnification if there's such a thing.

Are you sure it wasn't about how Rolex screwed up with a bad batch of cyclops and it was such a big deal they took the 2.5X mag spec off all of their marketing material and website?

When was that? I remember reading about the two brands having different magnification around 2010 or so. Im actively searching the archives for the thread. I may be totally wrong though.

Just downloaded this from Tudor's Hong Kong official website and the cyclops mag doesn't look particularly small to me.

Nice! I love the 12-hour bezel, and wish more chronos would use that over the tachymeter.
