I refuse to regulate; mine goes on a winder at night when I don my Ball Marvelite with Tritium.

Day 8 and I’m off a day, I may try laying it crown up and see if I can at least get within a day

9 days in and mine is 16 secs slow. By my calculations, 99.997% accurate. Not too shabby.

Day 10
YM 116622 (2015) : +1.6 s/d SD43 126622 (2017) : -0.2 s/d Pleased with the results so far. Could probably get the SD43 down to 0 quite easily. This is unbelievable for mechanical watches IMHO. Does is matter? Of course not but fun as a little experiment nonetheless. Screenshot_20200210-174312.jpgScreenshot_20200210-174230.jpg |

BB 58 is +3 seconds (total) since February 1st. No regulating. Just put on night stand dial-up each night. Super impressed with accuracy of the Tudor in-house movement.

My first post, and I'm glad to be able to share my results thus far. I picked up my 114060 (first new Rolex!) after ~1 month of waiting at my local AD, and have been tracking its accuracy since 1/29/20, a couple of days post-purchase.
Some details -

+6.7 seconds so far. I am wearing my op 39 approx. 16 hours per day, resting it crown up over night.

Ten days in.
It was more difficult to take this photo than it was to practice Simple Regulation for the past ten days. My only watch, worn daily with the exception of showers and sleep. At bedtime, it’s usually a second ahead. Winding button up or down overnight and it’s back to “dead on” each morning. I’ve been practicing this simple process effectively since discovering the Simple Regulation guide several months ago. Some may scoff at this, saying it’s better to just toss the watch in any random position at night and let the accuracy diminish however the watch chooses. But it takes little more effort to place it in a particular position each night in order for the watch to remain either totally accurate, or within a second of accuracy, all the time. Since this watch has only one function, (to tell the current time,) it doesn’t seem unreasonable to prefer that the watch display the correct time, as opposed to the wrong time. If reading this induces feelings of pity for me, you’re entitled to your feelings. Your sorrow over the misguided practices in which I participate, and the erroneous pleasures I derive from Rolex watch ownership, will not steal my joy. I just think the whole thing is pretty cool!

After setting the time on February 1 my DJ41 is 10 seconds fast today February 10. Purchased my Rolex new from local AD on January 28 so it’s very new. Placing it on its side at night crown up or down doesn’t help it to lose time. I wear it all day every day except while sleeping and in the shower. Fun experiment, and I love my Rolex!

I'm the original poster for this thread, and I'll confess that I, too, believe that telling time accurately is an essential function of a watch.
But there's more to it than that. I like how my Rolex Explorer II has - I believe - been designed and built by people who care about fundamental issues like lasting aesthetics, quality craftsmanship, thoughtful features, and commitment to reliability. I like how I can almost understand how my 16570 mechanically translates simple movements of my wrist into an accurate representation of the passage of time. I like how, whether I'm in the US, or in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, or a dozen other places around the world where I've worked, I have a high degree of confidence that I can rely on my watch to do what I need it to do. I like how my Rolex, like a good friend, is something I can respect, not just a piece of wrist candy. Part of that is telling accurate time. But it's not just accuracy for the sake of one-upmanship or neurosis. It's just a key part of what makes it useful and serious, not flashy and frivolous. |

I forgot about this thread. Anyway, I caved and did actually reset my Submariner on the 1st. As of today it runs -0.33 seconds per day. Thank you, Rolex!

I am constantly impressed with the Tudor modified ETA movement - nearly half the way
through the month and it has only lost 3 seconds. I wear this watch virtually constantly, even in bed so I don’t know if that makes a difference. |

I set my Daytona about 60 days ago and it's currently +1 second over the atomic clock.
That makes a gain of 0.0000002 seconds per day. I guess that's alright. |

Regulation still working, Exp II still at +5 sec since I started regulating back on day - hasn’t gained or lost a single second.

2 Weeks In...1/2 Way!
Watch: Rolex Explorer II 16570
Movement: 3186 Series: V Year: 2009 Service History: Never serviced Variance First 14 Days: +1.1 seconds from NIST time Timing Method: Watch Tracker App Comments: I wear my 16570 pretty much all the time (except when working out and showering). During those times I leave it face up. That means it's on my wrist about 22 hours each day. At the 7 day mark it was -0.4 seconds. |
