I know what you mean. I’m a small guy at 5’7” and have 6.5” wrists. I just couldn’t pull it off and that was very depressing to me because the JC Deep Sea is my favorite Rolex.

Happens frequently. I think certain watches just look better on other people. I had a 26331 panda that I really liked. But for some reason seeing it on MY wrist didn’t do it for me. Yet still... when I see it on others I think it looks fantastic.

Unfortunately that undoubtably is the only angle it doesn’t look huge on a person.

Spin your wrist a little bit and it starts to look like a tool Batman would use in one of his adventures.

Sure it’s thick, but I hold the opinion that dive watches should look big. Think how nice they look on the wrists of women where they’re much more oversized.

The clasp falls exactly in the middle too. Sorry about all of these having cigars in - I don’t usually take wrist shots except for cigar forum threads...

Same thing here - large watches but they look fine. I think the Citizen is a 48mm...

We will have to agree to disagree my friend. I think big watches on women look silly. Especially when they flop around. :-)

I still love the Breitling every time I see my friend wearing it and I am glad he has it. Then I remember what I did to get my 5711.
To the OP - Yes, sold my TOG dumbest thing I've done watch-wise.
As for that Brietling, Brian that thing is WICKED!
Oh well, not the end of the world.

I’ve seen that 100 times. Don’t like it. No big deal.

One more! Might as well pile on! And this thread made me get it out just now! LOL

I do recall your posts mentioning it’s a good weekend watch, from your experience. I must agree. I’m such a GMT nut that those get almost all the wrist time. From my perspective, the DBlue is a watch that I enjoy wearing, knowing that it has to patiently wait it’s turn. I have to be OK with the fact that I don’t wear it weekly. But it’s such a cool piece, I am OK with that. Cheers.

Not so much in real life, but have to say Scott Disick used to wear a few nice Pateks and APs and that really helped me see how they looked on the wrist and away from AD lights and so it helped cement my desire for them.

What an awesome picture. It’s the best looking Rolex watch IMO with the biggest cool factor.

Some of the other owners have taken better photos in the owners thread. I think it’s the dial. It is just so amazing. If Rolex put that on a Sub, their website server would crash. Don’t look at the owners thread! It may get ya.

So you haven’t seen one you used to have on someone else, and had that ... “oh crap ... did I make a mistake letting that one go”?

Flipping a watch has always concerned me Neef.

That’s why I have never sold or traded one.

And yes my 16613 blue M is a favourite.

I’m interested in knowing ... what lead to the flip in the first place? We’re you trading it toward another? Just got tired of it and then realized ... oh crap?

I sold one that I occasionally think about. Then one of my best friends bought one about a month ago and I have seen him with numerous times including yesterday. Damn, it looks good.

Only consolation is that it went for a grail that I still have and adore.
