Yes, I wear my SubC Date when doing my every other day 5Ks. It’s my beater watch, but have a Casio G-Shock on the way which will be my true beater.

No. The only reason for me to wear a watch while running is to check it during the run. Analog watches, Rolex or any other, are more difficult read than a digital one while in motion. Plus digital watches have other useful functions besides total elapsed time like splits, pace, and distance traveled if there is GPS.

Garmin Forerunner when I run. Distance, time & pace are important for me to track progress.

I don't understand why anyone would wear any mechanical watch when running.

Well for decades people would wear Rolex watches for running and all sorts of extreme activities; just because the transistor came along doesn't mean mechanical watches are obsolete (hence this forum, fwiw). |

Lol I can understand it (same reason why most wear Rolex in first place). I just can’t wrap my mind around how that is sustainable or enjoyable! I occasionally wear it when walking the dog. |

Yes it is a bit weird to wear your jewelry running. But then again some people choose to wear chains and all sorts whilst exercising.

Im too poor to wear a Rolex during my junior dr days! I wore a Tudor Hydranaut and did 4x London marathon 20 years ago. I start running again 4 years ago and wear a Tom tom Sparks. I completed a few marathons in six out of seven continents with it. I might wear a Rolex Explorer One when I tackle the Antarctic Ice Marathon in 2021!

Ten years ago, I might have run with a mechanical chronograph, but when there are now smartwatches that do the job much better and provide much useful information, there is no point.

I have worn my gmt ceramic out running almost every week. You get use to it moving around and never had anyone even look at it twice.

Not running anymore but always wore the Sub when running and used the bezel for timing the run. Close enough timing for me. Never worried about the watch at all.

Not my regular running companion but have definitely timed some runs on my sub. I wear it on a rubber strap though.

I recall running the beach with my DJ in Cancun a number of years ago. It was the only watch I brought on the trip and I don't think I really wanted to leave the watch in the hotel. It was fine. Normally, like others here, I use a Garmin.

Yes.
Especially when traveling and I go for a run. Not going to leave my watch in the hotel room. |
