Is anybody superstitious about a day?

For me its Good Friday ....bad things have happened to me on this day to the point I wont leave the house. When was a little kid around 8 years old in Ponca City OK when my father worked for Conoco we were hit by a tornado our house got messed up bad and my father lost his Piper Cub. In 79 on Friday April 13th....Good Friday.....I was in a Motorcycle crash that almost killed me and did get out of the hospital till July 3rd 79 from it and still have problems from it today. In 1984 my best friend killed himself on Good Friday. In 1986 My ex-wife was hit in our Nissan truck on G.F......she got a broke arm....truck was totaled. In 2000 One of my 3 cats died of cancer on G.F. In 2003 My Grand Mother died on Good Friday. I was hoping the curse was gone but our pet bunny died on Good Friday this year. I dont like Good Friday......its never good for me!

That's awful to hear Greg..

To answer your question, no I don't have any superstitions. I can see why for you, the day is associated with bad memories, but that's all they are ... Memories.

They don't predict the future and the day shouldn't own you. Try your best to create some positive memories.

There are certain days I don't like one being my birthday. Never had a great bday but have had bad stuff happen on it. I tell no one work when it is and don't celebrate it. I try to be as low key as possible. And it's not that I'm getting older that bothers me.

+1 on this, I can't remember a birthday that I had that I look back on and think to myself nothing can top that day. All my birthdays have been boring or about another family member all together. I don't even bother now a days, rather just go about my day and maybe just maybe go out to dinner with my wife, but no cake, no presents.

Since Good Friday changes each year, I wouldn't think too much of it although I'm sure it's easier said than done if you've had so much bad associated with the day.

My mother and grandmother are very superstitious. To the point where it drives me nuts because there are too many to keep up with.

Now you got me thinking, Greg. Wonder what day it was that I met my first wife.
