5172G anyone?

Curious if anyone here has seen the 5172G in the metal, and if so...did they purchase it. I personally think it looks fantastic in pictures...but have yet to see one in the flesh. Always thought I wanted to pick up a 5070 at some point...but the 42mm size is just a tad larger than what I prefer. The 41mm of the 5172 might be right in the sweet spot. Can't decide what I think about the art deco style stepped lugs, but everything else on the 5172 looks great in pics.

Any thoughts from the group?

Stay safe out there.

I love it. Perfect watch that wears casual and dressy. Love the strap. I will have mine by end of the week!

love that trio !!!
I'm probably nuts to be holding out for msrp on a 5712, but I am patient :)

Would love to see one in the flesh. Probably not happening anytime soon.

I declined one late last year.

I really enjoyed the dial.

However it simply is too large of a watch to be on a strap for my taste.

Reminds me of the montblanc 1858 Chrono. I prefer the 5170 white dial styling.

Received it yesterday. On my wrist now. Great piece. There has been some critique about the pushers, but I love this piece. It’s a perfect balance between a dress watch and a casual watch.

I own the 5170P and the 5172G and I don't see it as a competition at all. I'd wear the 5172 10/10 times with casual attire. Business attire, I'd go 5170P 10/10 times.
