Compared to my 116500, I do prefer it, but not by much. Both are beautiful and have their own attributes. I like the thinner indices and subdial rings better, as they look more refined and open up the face more. While I know the face is not larger (and I’ve even heard a few hundredths of an mm smaller?), the illusion is that the face appears bigger. I also like the thinner ceramic bezel, as it too looks more finished, although I’m pretty neutral on the metal ring around the bezel and I do worry about damaging it. The case on the 116500 is more curvy and I think that creates a sexier look, but this is really only noticeable in profile. The asymmetric lugs of the 116500 never bothered me. I think both watches wear similarly. On the whole it is a nice evolution, but frankly, all Daytonas are pretty special.

Thanks for reading and happy Saturday!

Not for me they are so similar, maybe 3/4K on top if you really prefer it but that would be my limit.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - lots of people prefer the 126500 and lots of people prefer the 116500.

And let us be honest - even though we make a big deal out of the small changes on this forum, it is basically the same watch

I didn’t have to trade my 116500. I just had to buy the Cartier and I was allowed to buy the 126500. Not a terrible deal?!?

Cmon. joking right?. All this for a PP 6102, but a Daytona?

Tank that the wife wanted anyways to get a SS Daytona on the spot? I’d do it.
