Show me your favorite NATO combos! And this time why?

Hey vintage friends I was just curious on how you guys decide on your NATO straps. There seems to be a lot of colorways, hardware options and manufacturers that provide custom like options for us NATO fans.

I am curious to know how you guys go about buying your NATOs and what influences the colors and hardware you use. For me I try to match colors with writing, dial and bezel colors and choose hardware with the same kind of thinking.

Post some of your favorite NATO combos and if you think its necessary explain why you chose it.

Hardware options:

Polished

Nylon

Matte

My recent favorite: PVD

My least favorite ZULU, mainly due to its bulkiness and I do not find it too comfortable.

For my DRSD I always look for a striped red pattern to match the writing and black PVD hardware to match the bezel insert and dial.

Double red for a double red

1680 white I prefer a solid dark Grey with black PVD hardware. I find black on black to be to much of one color so I chose a very dark grey with PVD hardware. Very stealth like I am sure solid black strap with matte hardware would be nice as well.

7016 I use a solid light grey strap with Matte hardware to match the faded bezel insert.

and sometimes nylon on nylon (US military style)

Last but not least Ms. Pacman game clock loves orange/black combo, she is a showoff plus its matches her faded gloves

Have a great week guys, sorry for the stupid thread, I was bored this morning

Have a whiskey leather NATO being fabricated by Atila as we speak. It will be going on my 1680 white.

I only have a few so far, but I will probably get some more eventually. They are so easy to use, but give you so many different options.

The double Red Nato on my Red Sub is my favorite combo.

Thanks David

I thought that looked like one of Anders' straps. It has been a while since I have gotten one from him, and it looks as if his selection has drastically changed.

I believe it is time to try one of those. Thanks again.

Ken I love that milsub and of course my favorite the 6538! This watch makes me

I might try out this 18mm phenomenon, but I got a feeling it only works on the big crown, milsub and comex all of which I only dream about owning...lol
