Thanks for the post Norm. I was saddened to hear about his death. Marcello was a great asset to all things Rolex. His wisdom, knowledge and posts will surely be missed. It could undoubtedly be said that "he was the straw that stirred the drink" for the vintage community.

May he rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of his passing.
He was a man of great knowledge
and even greater character.
Slow to speak and wise in answer

Wish I would have spoke with you,
but learned a lot from you posts.
Thank you

Sleep well good prince
Till that morning when new eyes behold the glory.

He seemed ever willing to share his vast knowledge. Though I never met you in person, I thank you for your generosity to this community. I can only imagine how missed you'll be to those who knew you better than us. RIP.

Every time an OP was told to wait for an expert, I always waited for Marcellos response. It was always kind. People like Marcello helped me be a better enthusiast of Rolex. RIP

Thoughts are with his friends and family , Marcello was one of the guys on the forum whos answers to questions and opinions on things should have , and could have been chiseled in stone, his answers on the forum were definitive , many private conversations we had over dial details, and other topics.
rest in peace, the forum will be a poorer place without him.

Our community was very fortunate to have had Marcello with us. Does anyone know of a foundation or cause he or his family supports?
