When sizing Easylink bracelet

As I’m about to pick up my 2nd Rolex tomorrow (grail piece) and first with an Easylink bracelet, I wanted to ask how you guys size it ? Being winter in NY I figured it’s better the Easylink in, so when summer comes and my wrist size feels a little bigger I can let it out for some more room. What do you guys do on your watches ?

I size mine with the Easylink in, i.e. in the short bracelet position. This works for me, and when it's really hot and sweaty, I flip it out.

Always size Easylink in. That includes getting the clasp centered if that's important to you. I only let the Easylink out if its really hot outside or for some reason my wrist is swelling. Its pretty rare I have to kick it out.

I size mine too with the easy link in. I like it sized so it's comfortable that way and when I need to I then open the easy link.

I believe it's meant to be sized in so you can use it as intended. Its an extension when needed.

Like everyone here got it sized with Easylink in. Mine is just right since I use up all the links and worked out perfect.

Right. Size it with the Easylink in, and I recommend going a bit loose right now to account for the season. Next summer, you'll have the fit just right with Easylink in, and then you'll still have the Easylink to let out for swelling due to activity, crazy weather, flying, etc.

Agree and centering the clasp is important.

I’m curious as to what reference you’re picking up

I too adjust with the easylink in. If this is any help should you be picking up a Blro:

I removed one link, and I have the micro adjustment set right in the middle with the easy link in, 7” wrist.

On my subC I currently have 4 links on each side and glide about half way.

Not to keep you on the edge of your seat will be picking up the black dial 116500! Even though this was a very hard decision having a 116610, I felt it was the one that spoke to me the most and will be very versatile in many different situations.

Get that micro adjustment centered for one, but depending what model were talking about, my experience with any model having "easy link" for me has not worked out adjusting on the "in" position - just my wrist. That being said the preferred would be having it adjusted to the "in" position so to expand on a hot day etc.. but don't give up on it, it's not as simple as the same fit in or out and micro, the adjustment isn't equal so there is a difference. Good luck!

Size with it in so you can pop it on those hot and humid NY summer days.

For me, I also have the “in” position as the default. I find I need a little room for expansion more than contraction. The watch being a little too loose on certain days bothers me less than it being too tight. I must say though that the easy link feature is absolutely outstanding.

Have a good day all.

Yep.....as already stated many times size it with the easylink in so you can simply pop it open when needed. You might also want to try to get the clasp centered on your wrist. I'm talking about the inner clasp (some call it the blades) not the outer clasp. In my case I ended up moving a link from the 12:00 side to the 6:00. IMO made the watch look more balanced on my wrist and feel more comfortable.

Just picked up my Batman and struggling to find the perfect fit. A bit snug with easy adjustment in and too loose out. Easy link is 5mm, so what combination of adding a link and moving micro adjustments will get me 2mm? Currently I’m on loosest micro adjustment so I can go to the middle or tightest one

Keep the easy link in, add one link to the 12 o clock side unless you are already one extra on that side. If so, add it to 6 o’clock. Then micro adjust the clasp until you find the right fit.

You can't get +2mm from the tightest position on the outer pin but you can get +1.5mm. To gain 1.5mm move to the center pin and leave the Easylink extended.

Each pin position is worth 3.5mm.

I had a 116710LN and the AD showed me the micro adjustment. He also says the new 216570 doesn't have the micro adjustments even though it has a easy link. I could never figure out how to open it on the GMT. I'm not even gonna try and mess with the bracelet on the EXP II.

Just like DBELLBATMAN above, I'm struggling to find a comfortable sizing on the Oyster bracelet for my SS DJ41. I have larger wrists and the AD let the bracelet out to the last hole in the microadjustment on the clasp, giving no more adjustability by that means. The Easylink is in. As you see from the attached picture, I end up with a bracelet mark on my wrist.

The size feels OK when I first put on the watch but over time, it begins to feel tight. I've experimented by letting out the Easylink and it then only feels lose at first and then slightly snug after a while. No marks are left on my wrist. It's winter now. With no more adjustability left, once the summer comes, I'm afraid this will become an uncomfortable watch to wear. Question is should I visit the AD and get one more link added to the bracelet and get the sizing correct using the microadjustment? Will the 3.5mm additional length be able to be taken up with the 4 microadjustment positions?

How many links do you have on each side. It’s something you have to keep adjusting until it feels comfortable. Make sure the inside clasp (blades) are centered or as close as possible on bottom of wrist. On my Daytona and sub I have 4 links on each side and it’s not perfect but fits me pretty well. Clasp position plays a big part.

The bracelet is a standard SS Oyster model 72610 with 7 full links on 12 o'clock side and 5 on the 6 o'clock side. The clasp appears to be centred on my wrist and the watch could be very slightly offset from centre.

Sounds like you need to add an extra link or two. Your dealer should be able to order them, or if you’re near an RSC they will do it on the spot.

Thanks ArtNouveau. Do you know if adjustable links from an Oyster bracelet on a SS DJ 116200 will fit my 126334 DJ41?
