Macro Photography - Submariner

Have not been on the forum for a while. I have had my Submariner now for about 10 months. I enjoy the watch every day.

I was testing some new Nikon software. Here are the results.

Which Nikon software, what camera did you use? What lens? What aperture and shutter speed? What kind of lighting? I love photo geeking :-)

Camera Nikon D300
F-stop f/6.3
Exposure time 0.5 sec
ISO 200
Exposure bias -3.3 step
Focal Length 105mm
Max aperture 4.1
Subject distance 330 mm
Flash compulsory strobe return (RPS DRF14N)
Lens (Nikon) AF-S Micro Nikkor 105 mm 2.8 G ED

The new software is Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 and Nikon View NX2. It is nice being able to see the image on a big screen (in Live View) "before" the shutter release. The image was then processed in PhotoShop.

Thank you! I have a D800 so I'm not certain whether the Camera Control Pro would work. I have Nikon View. Great lighting. Very nice composition. Most of my subjects won't sit still, however. I'm mostly an underwater photographer :-).

Seems like about time for me to play with macro on stationary objects.
