Icon14 VTNR as an actual lefty

My amazing AD came through for me this past week, and I thought I’d post my thoughts as an actual southpaw wearing my first destro watch. I am really surprised by the sense of “rightness” (pun intended) of the crown and date orientation when I look at the watch on my right wrist. I’m actually more struck than I expected to be by a sense that this watch was made with people like me in mind.

Every review I’ve read on the watch has been from the perspective of a righty who often comments on the “weirdness” of the watch, for good or for ill. I thought I’d add the counterpoint that this watch seems strikingly natural to me, to the point that some of my other watches now look a little backwards when I put them on. Similarly, manipulating the dial also felt natural almost immediately. My 6yo is also a lefty, so I’ll be glad to pass this one on to him one day.

It also doesn’t hurt that green is a color of particular significance to me related to my military service. This watch has genuinely exceeded expectations (as did Lee Michaels)

Congrats and love this watch for being LHD and green as well. I hope to get one and I’m a righty. I actually prefer to wear it on the right and have the crown on the left facing away from the wrist.

I’m a fan, and I’d own one if I wore a watch on my right

Congratulations and wear it in good health

Huge congrats from one Southpaw to another. It’s nice to see it being worn the way it was intended. I don’t get why right handed folks are interested. In my case, I once owned a Sinn Destro, but could not get used to it, because I’ve always worn my watches on my left wrist. Why?
Because they were designed to be worn on the left wrist. Wear it in good health.

I wear my watch on my left wrist. The VTNR is on my wish list.
Hopefully my AD will come through.
I'd pay over retail to go grey. Just not as much over as they are asking today.

Congrats.... Beautiful piece. I'm an actual lefty and have a Tudor LHD Pelagos, however, can't stand to wear a watch on my right wrist.

There is no intended way, people have reasons for wearing on either wrist, don’t see any reason to insert oneself in such a judgmental manner.

Yeah but is it worn "correctly" behind the ulna of that wrist. (just having some fun with the topic, no judgement here).

It's amazing how 'correct' it feels and looks when worn on the right hand wrist, feels totally natural in a very short period - one of my favorite releases in a long time, has almost become a daily at this point. Congrats!

Fellow lefty here who was also just allocated a VTNR...I expected I'd love this watch but it really does feel sooo "right" to have a watch properly oriented for my right wrist. I can't imagine a way it could be better and it's definitely a forever watch.
