Yes. Maybe. Thinking about Prof models. Sub Date, GMT2 or YM. All of them 40 mm, which will be perfect I think. But what about thickness of the case? Will they be less comfortable than DJ or OP?

I would go for that reference based on your needs. However, there are plenty of other good brands outside of the crown if you would like to go that route as well!
I understand, that there are a lot of other brands, but I can’t wear anything else accept Rolex.

Have tried Sub Date today. Found them very perfect watch. Maybe this can be ideal variant for me?

You said you wear suits. As long as you meant swimming suits or dive suits then yes. Otherwise, in my opinion a Datejust of some variety is what you should be focused on. The other option, since you like more reasonable size watches, would be a vintage watch.

I thought, that Sub is an iconic watch, which can be worn with a suit.

You can of course do whatever you want and yes, many people think a dive watch looks right with a suit. They will even show you pictures of fictional spys and real British royalty doing so.

Some like to wear tennis shoes and Tshirts with them too.

I just don't think it's the best choice but we all have to tend our own garden on this one.

Thanks!
And what are the ideal variants with suits? DJ, OP, DD and Cellini?

All of those would work with a Suit. DJ/DD 36 especially

seems like a dressy watch like a DJ fluted bezel and jubilee would be ideal to go with that black dial tasteful OP39. A 41 or 36 with a silver or white dial would be a nice contrast. My first Rolex was a 36 white roman WG fluted jubilee. Fits in anywhere and is a nice dichotomy of the basic black OP39.

I think they both look great on your wrist. I recommend you don't rush into buying a watch right now, though, because I think you need to be more sure of your decision before swapping your OP 39 for something you are unsure of. If you want to know what I think about what you're showed us so far, I think the 36mm Date-Just looks great on your wrist.

I dress in business attire often, and the new DJ 36 is one of the watches I'm strongly considering as a replacement for my black OP 39 right now. Like you, I feel ready for something different from my OP 39, but I'm not completely sure right now what that should be, so I'm taking my time with my decision and I recommend you take your time with yours.

Other watches I'm considering as a replacement for my OP 39 include this IWC Portuguese, which I'm guessing is way too chunky for your preferences:

... or maybe this Omega, which may be a bit on the sporty side for your purpose:

... or maybe this JLC if one were to come along at an attractive price:

What can be next after OP39 Black?

The Sub is perfect as an addition to the OP.
I‘d change the OP dial to white when buying the black sub. Perfect Combo for any situation.

36mm.. I'm not a real fan of the 41mm. IMO they should have made a 39mm DJ instead of 41mm. That would have been their biggest seller.

Have you considered a white dial moonphase Cellini? Gorgeous piece.

How about a Yacht Master? I've only seen one of those in the wild (though quite a few in display cases). I like the ones with the red seconds hand.

Did you know the DJ41 actually measures at 39.52mm? I had one (regrettably sold it) and I think it wears exactly like the 39mm Explorer I now own...in fact, they *might* be the exact same case.

I’m confused ... if the DJ 41 looks “massive” any of the professionals should feel the same or worse IMHO.

Exactly, especially with the super case....
DJ 41 looks fine, don't take a picture of it at that angle looking down on it.
Despite owning a 41dj non fluted, I keep trying 36mm fluted at ad's because they looks so nice on pics, and everytime I get the same feeling, too small for me...
I agree a 38mm dj would've been a home run, yes 1.5 mm (that's what the DJ41 is supposedly) does make a difference!

Thank You very much. I like the Cartier watches, but for me Rolex is the best toolwatch ever, can’t imagine me without this watch now. I really like OP39, size is absolutely gorgeous, but now I am completely sure, that I need date and extra comfortable bracelet with easylink. DJ41 visually I like more with oyster and smooth and DJ36 with jubilee and flutted. But I am working in the governmental sphere, wear suits all the time, the second version looks too blinking.

36 on pics looks much better, than 41. More balanced I think.

YM, GMT2 and Sub are great watches, but I don’t know how they will suit me for everyday with formal business clothes.

Sub looks fine with a suit if you find that model comfortable. Have you thought about how you wear the watch on your wrist i.e. the position? Above wrist bone maybe more comfortable.

If you're wearing suits most of the time, check out JLC Master Ultra Thin small seconds. 39.5mm and you can easily switch straps.
