5167 vs 5164

Which one would YOU pick?

Plain and simple VS a rather expensive complication

I debated that very choice and went with the 67 since I don't travel much anymore. And I like the clean dial of the 67. If I had to do it over again I would do the same: 67 for me.

5164 every time. Just adds a bit more zing!

For me the 5164 is the one that caught my attention. I thank two good buddies for the enabling.

I would go for the 67, the simple dial sings to me more, though I would prefer R over A.

For travel time, I would prefer 5990 or 5224 as the dial for both is better laid out compared to the slightly cluttered 5164.

I travel a lot, but find that that is not sufficient justification for a 64. If you’re after travel functionality, then spending 1/40th of the price on an Apple Watch will serve you far better.

It gets worse because the travel times across all PPs assume only one hour shifts. But try using the Travel Time when going to India? Or what if you live in India and travel to other parts of the world?

Therefore, only way to assess the 64 vs 67 is which looks better. I find that the 67 is a bit too barren for my taste. I want a busier face for the money I’d be spending on the watch.

Another vote for the 5164. I’ve never had one, but if I started into Patek I think that would be the one I land on.

As my wrist is like your wrist now, think it would look great on you.

I like the 67, it’s clean true to form.

That said Patek’s travel time and world time complications are so easy to use.

The 64 has been a grail, but when I had the opportunity to buy a 67/1A, I pulled the trigger. Even though I think it looks best on rubber, I also love the bracelet. The travel time complication looks great, but I’m finding the combination of my 67 and iPhone to be all I need. So I’m still on a list, but am thinking the extra money I’d spend for a 64 could be better used towards something else

67 for me. I like the travel-time complication, but the payoff in thickness isn't worth it IMO.

64 as it’s more intriguing to my eye. 67 a bit too plain. Prefer the 11 for that

No 5164 for me as I don't like the look of those left-side pushers and don't want any travel time complication.

At the same time I found the 5167 a little large for a basic three-hander w date on my small wrists when I tried it on many years ago. I didn't like it enough to pull the trigger back then (below MSRP (!) preowned).

I wish I had picked up the smaller and rare 5165 though, but since then I got two other three-hand plus date Pateks and am likely done on that front.

Imagine two stones instead of the white and blue disk for day/night.

I was doing the same comparison like 6-12 months ago. Great timing for me BTW.....prices went to STUPID levels as we all know. I didnt pull the trigger for that reason. BUT if prices were normal....I would go with a 5167.

I felt like i could scratch the itch with the 5167.

I’d go with the 64 since I have the 58 blue. Love the bigger dial, color and white gold. Always imagine what the 64 would feel.

Gotta see the LV thing play out first... I’m not really a LV guy.
