Hmmm, maybe the question could have been stated "How many Nautilus is enough" with answers starting at 0, thus offering choices of "0, 1, 2, 3-4, 5-6, Never Enough", for example.

That way we'd have affirmative results capturing the entire range of preference, from naysayers (0), to addicts (Never Enough), with enthusiasts landing somewhere in between :-).

Putting out false information to support your claims doesn't make them any better.

My 5711 has a screw down crown just like all others do. Its depth rating of 120m corresponds to a water speed of close to 50 m/s in terms of dynamic pressure - I don't know how fast you are sailing... Anyway, the last thing I am worried about is its water proofing.

Ideally, I own a 5711-1R and think a 5726 blue in SS or 5740G in WG will make a nice pair but that's not happening any time soon given the fact that the WL for Nautilus at the Salon is insane and I just quarelled with my long time PP AD. So yes, one is good enough.

1 or 2 modern Nautilus are enough for me. If 1, blue 5711 or 5712, if 2, any 5711 and 5740.

I hear you can get a Celestial before you can get a Nautilus. And in the secondary market they are priced about the same.

That's not fair: you are using facts in an internet argument.

Yeah, I guess that was kinda mean. After all, there is a used celestial for sale for 300K plus, and that is a tad more than a Nauti. Just a tad.

I feel 3 SS/RG Nautilus is just about nice, maybe the 4th is ok for strap Nautilus. 5th is ok if you can get the WG 5740.

Ben, I can help you mend that bridge if you want to. Or I can lead you to the other AD.

So for me I think 3 is enough. One for everyone in the family. After a while they all look the same to me.

It’s kind of like that time when I couldn’t tell the difference between Mercedes and Lexus...or was that hummer

I’m sure you know but this is a misrepresentation of what GG said. He actually stated he had been involved in the creation of the ladies Nautilus range in the mid 2000’s during a 3 year collaboration with Patek prior to their release in 2009.

To me, each nautilus is a beauty in its own rights. I am waiting for the 5740 and 5726 blue. Come next year, if PP were to release a new Nautilus edition, I guess I will try to get one too.
Earlier, I thought I might get tired of seeing too many Nautilus and that they would all look the same. I discovered this is not true. Try seeing someone wearing a Nautilus and you would be glad to know that you have one too.

Maybe in a #nautilus only collection 4 could be the number. Platinum, gold and steel. Variation of complications...could give u:

5711P
5740G
5980R
5712A

I have all three 5711 - Blue, White and Rose Gold.

Also have the 5712 and the 5990. The wife has a 7118/1200R-001

I also have a 5740 and 5726 on order

It way too much. Nothing is getting enough wrist time. The watches are all mint which in some ways is really sad. So I am planning to gift the steel 5711s to my sons before or once they are 25 (not far away, the younger one is 20 and the older one is 22). And once the 5740 comes i will consider swapping the blue 5712 for a PP dress watch.

The 5726 is a while away.
