Oh to chrono

So similar but oh so different. What's your favorite chrono? I will say, I do like the Breitling Navitimer and definitely the Omega Moonwatch.

Oops. I forgot about the VC. It is truly a shame with the history that VC has that they are not recognized more often. Truly a beautiful watch.

I'm not impressed with VC's dial finishing and their date wheels, particularly the chrono above, are really cheap looking.

I wish they would have left the date at 12 instead of moving it to 4 on the new ref.

This one looks great.

In this pic I gotta say that Tudor holds it own sitting between its more expensive and exclusive cousins.

Hard decisions. Is that a Tudor 79180? I kinda dig it.

Its the speedy and its not close. VC, AP, Lange, Daytona, etc. all behind. The speedy is the most important watch ever made and while Omega does milk the moon connection, its timing of the burn in Apollo 13 puts it far ahead of any other watch chrono. The others mentioned above look nice and are nice and maybe even are associated with a salad dressing guy, but there is real legacy and story and made up via celebrity affiliations etc or hyped up insta accounts, etc. The speedy played a key role in perhaps the largest achievement in mankind. What did these others do?

Love chronographs and thoroughly enjoying this thread. My favorite is Daytona. The watch that got me interested in watches is this Omega Speedmaster triple date. Saw it in the early 2000s, fell in love with it then. Finally hunted one down last year.

That Vc overseas is beautiful. Love the Maltese cross bracelet and dial. But not a huge fan of the bezel, wish I did like and I wouldn’t hesitate to get one. And love the Navitimer on both steel and leather. May add one at some point.
