As for this concept of watches that you can beat the piss out of, I got Black Bay Fifty-Eight so I didn't have to stress over wearing a 5-figure Sub when I was doing Physical/Stupid/Drunken Walking/Getting Pushed Into a Pool/Finding Myself in a Barroom Brawl/Forgetting to Take Off When I Help My Idiot Friend Work on His Stupid Car/Daily Beater/Kinda watch....and a year and half later, it still looks pristine! Clearly, I gotta up my game for watch-beating.

Too bad about the WG. You should have jumped on it. I had a chance for a WG 1802 complete for 13,000 but at the time didn’t jump. Too damn bad for. Kicking myself for that everyday.

I have it listed for sale and or trade and feel I am close to the market price as for what I have asked although prices are subject to change.

Good luck.
14060m kit + speedy reduced kit + $500 for 16710 ln kit. The 14060m kit was a from a trade of cash plus two tone datejust kit. Shouldve just put the $5000 up instead of trading away the sub.

Yeah that white gold was a 5 digit kit and it only lasted for 2 weeks on that forum. I was doing the bookmark test to see how long id want it.

Seems like an even trade.
Desirability is in your favor as well as collectoratilby.
It does stink knowing you got rid of it then realized a few days or weeks down the road you made a mistake, but hey you know in the future that watch you let go is financially easier had than the GMT you got.

As far as the WG You Still Want It.

I am not trying to make tons of money off of my watch or anything crazy, just testing the waters. Maybe someone has a watch they would like to trade as well. Maybe someone is getting a little older and wants to move on from the Casual SS to the more Informal DD.

Way too cheap for a WG 1802, though. Price must have reflected condition.

No, buyer inherited it, didn’t have a clue and neither did I at the moment as I was just learning. I had an idea at the value and was afraid to pull the trigger. Now knowing what I know would of bought it in a heartbeat.

Oh god. That's almost as bad as when I passed up on a pristine Big Red Daytona at 16 grand in 2014.

What's the story behind this?

How much is a 1802 WG worth then, can't find anything.

Simple. I tried on an ivory/cream-dial Big Red on a night out with a well known US dealer in Tokyo in 2014. The price was 16 grand.

The same dealer sold a nice WG 1803 with B&P last year for around 20 grand. WG 1802s are much, much rarer, so go for a lot more. I'd estimate in the 30s, or even more, for a full set in good condition. It's hen's teeth territory. You'd probably find decent examples only at auction these days.

That DD is just stunning! I’d keep it and buy myself a “beater”.
You may regret it, don’t do it!

Well, I have read all the posts on this thread and all I can suggest I that you take your time with this decision and avoid regrets.

Just don’t part with that DayDate.

It really is a nice one.
