He claims the box for it is 200 miles away at his parents house in Atlanta and he does not have access to that right now. Just need some advice. Can you all help me decipher if this is real or fake and if it is real, is $1,200 a fair asking price for this particular watch?
Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it!

For $1200, you should at least get the box.

Is there any other product that is "faked" so much? Maybe LV bags?

I joined the forum when the whole Horology House scandal erupted, and have come back ever since. There’s a lot of great threads and extreme knowledge here, needless to say; but my favorite section is the Watch-Out-part. Both the posts and some of the replies are hilarious.
And given some of the extremely good fakes, it’s also impressive to see the sharp eyes some of you have to spot small inconsistencies or faults.
Obviously it’s never fun to be scammed (needless to say again), but the smile I get on a weekly basis are only related to the first time posters like this one, where the poster is either a scammer trying to test if his/her fake watch will pass through the scrutiny here, or people that really don’t want to see a red flag, even when waived just before their eyes (or doing a 2 minute googling to check if any Rolex would go for 1.200 USD, or reflect if it’s not a bit strange that an “Oyster Perpetual Date” actually doesn’t have any date)

Date wheel is obviously well out of alignment. How could you miss such an obvious tell? Newbies...really.

Avoid.
