Rolliworks Service

Sent my Oysterquartz Day-Date to Rolliworks for service. It came back running and looking like new.
Followed up by sending my Oysterquartz DateJust to Mike.It came back in top order as well. Then it developed a problem.
Contaced Mike at Rolliworks, he sent a PREPAID shipping label, corrected the problem, and sent it back to me at HIS expense.
That is what I call real service. I HIGHLY recommend Rolliworks.

Pretty shabby botching an Oysterquartz service, a child could handle them. Not surprised he wanted to get it fixed for you.

Would love some pictures of the Oyster Quartz.
Probably one of the more difficult watches to polish whilst maintaining crisp lines

You have no f**king idea what you are talking about. I'm no expert, but educate yourself before posting nonsense like this. They aren't a Timex, Casio or Armitron

Your review makes me feel good about wanting to send my YM to them for a service instead of RSC. Thanks!

Don't think twice about it! I sent my Platinum YM to them after 7 years of daily wear and tear, and was above and beyond amazed at the outcome!

Please explain why you think a child could handle a service on a OQ I hope you realise there are many mechanical parts in a OQ the drive train is from the mechanical cal 3035 movement. And in the real world the OQ could be more difficult to service than any mechanical movement, and more costly to replace if needed.

He can't. Just look at his other posts, many of which are pretty negative.

I don't really like throwing prices out there, just because things do change over time and I would rather not put Mike in a tight spot. I will say that it was on the same spectrum of what a normal, service only cost from any RSC would be though. He had to do some laser welding on one of my lugs because it was dinged so bad. The bracelet was also completely disassembled and redone to cure the stretch. That also included a full tear down and reassembly of the mechanism with all new seals. It really depends on the condition your watch is in though. You obviously saw mine before it went in! He does have prices listed on his website to give you a better idea though. https://www.rolliworks.com/services

Those dudes do awesome work. My 16660 came back running perfectly and the braclet service was insanely good. Would recommend 10/10.

well some people don't want talk about price of Rolli for a reason!
I called them about 2months ago about getting service for my explorer 2. Mike quoted "$500 to polish the case, $200to polish the bezel, bc the bezel needs extra work,$700 to service the moment" the total cost is $1400 not including parts replacement.
I ended up to go back to RSC Bh, for a total of $750, not just got my watch back with a Rolex service warranty card.

I explained the reason I didn't want to just throw out a price. I paid well under what you say you were quoted. Not saying I don't believe you. My YM was done at the beginning of this year. That price included a complete service, bezel, case, and bracelet polish, as well as some laser welding to one of the lugs due to a dent. My bracelet was also completely disassembled and rebuilt with new pins to correct the stretch. I believe you get what you pay for. I've heard a lot of bad things about how Dallas RSC has treated people in the past. That was the biggest deciding factor that I had in going with Rolliworks. Mike had a really fast turn-around time as well, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. As long as you are happy at the end of the day...that's all that matters.

That is great to hear that RW stepped up and quickly fixed it. That is the mark of a good watchmaker. Sometimes a watch develops an issue weeks or months after a service. That is what the warranty is for. It sounds like other then being out the watch for a little bit more, everything else is covered.

Pay no attention to the trolls.

As for the Oyster quartz, does Rolex even work on them anymore?

Enjoy your "new" old Oyster quartz watches
