This was sweet. Your proof could be right here in this thread. Print the whole thread out and save it. If you see a black date wheel for sale here maybe you should grab it, you'll have the whole package. I'd never send that back to the RSC. Use one of the CW21 watch repairs guys on here like Vanessa or Tom Doan both in California.

Big error from RSC.

You caught a Unicorn !

There are people out there that have to pay for this mod and you get it done for free by Rolex. I say this is a keeper now since it's unique and have a great story to go along with it.

GMT IIc SS green date wheel

Tech was color blind... Or they were working on a gold one at the same time... Or...

Well, doesn't matter!! What good luck for you. A very unique and original model!!!

I can understand the conflict..very nice color upgrade..performed by rsc and with oem equipment..but does take away from being 100% stock....tough tough call which only the owner can decide...id probably first start with a call to rsc and discuss the color change with them...get it on record and then make a decision

Done! Green until next service.

RSC has mistake on record.

They are. I've had 3 replaced and it was never mentioned in the paperwork. It's considered a functional part of the movement.

RSC has mistake on record.

Avoid RSC from this point on and let the patina build to give character to your watch by using an independent next time.

Makes me wonder if maybe this one is the "New Normal" regarding the date wheels for GMT's? I would love that! Do not ever change it back. It looks great...

It is amazing how such a small detail, like a green date, makes on a watch.

Looks 80% better, it certainly looks like a different watch.

This. You have to tell them if you want to keep your original, if it's open 6/9 for example. It's included in the service price so they don't bother to mention it with the quote.

Personally, I like the green date wheel, however, I think Rolex purposely just uses it as an exclusive for their YG model with black dial. Too bad.

Reminds me of Jocke's triple red Yacht-Master. Yours can be the triple green GMT Master II.

I would keep the email in a safe place and source another black date wheel. Keep the green on, it’s really cool.

now I am wondering in 5 years if all the disassembly and reassembly to change back the wheel would count as a free inspection schedule service ?
